I’ll keep this vague to protect the privacy of someone who bought from me.When eBay allowed adult stuff I would pick up adult magazines dirt cheap and then sell them on eBay. I sold a particular series from the 1960s multiple times to the same address, and it was in an area known for housing the rich and famous. I got curious so I Googled the name of the person who always bought them and it seemed they were a writer on a very popular TV show for a good chunk of time. I guess in their retirement they were collecting vintage erotica. Not a bad way to spend your later years.

Was able to find 2 #1’s of Cover A and B online.
I didn’t realize this came out over a year ago (on FOC March 2025). Time flies. Hope you followed the Dirty’s advice!
There was a 1:25 homage of this cover recently that seems to have sparked the interest.
Google informed me Monster High was a line of dolls from Mattel which I did not even know lol, guessing that following has trickled over to the comics

Used to be a pretty big fan of Larson. That was years ago. Not so much these days.

To Larson’s credit, he’s always basically just done whatever he felt like with, “Savage Dragon,” over various decades. He’ll take random breaks, then put it out pretty much monthly, cover one subject, do something else. Make it a weirdly pornographic book, make it political, throw a public Domain Mickey Mouse in there, kill the main character and have his son take over as the book advances in real-ish time. In some ways, it is a fascinating peek into the psyche of one man and whatever is on his mind. Does this make the comic good, bad, or anything else? I dunno, but it is interesting, at least.

My question is what has gone on for 280-ish issues of the Savage Dragon? I think I bought the first couple issues back when Image started and that was it. I can’t imagine what went on in, say issues 100+. Speaking of founder Image books, Youngblood just had a milestone anniversary issue. I didn’t even know the book went past issues in the 20’s, lol.

You’re not alone and probably because it’s just not that good of a comic… haha… and it’s just legacy #100 since there were different volumes and spotlight type books, mini-series with the title.

Probably… Image has it’s moments but it still puts out more trash books than winner books/titles.

Youngblood along with other Liefeld titles were published under Awesome Comics (this is where Liefeld lost the rights to Youngblood for a LONG time, and I’m still uncertain as to his rights status.) and I Think Arcade Comics but I’m not sure. Most were published at Image Comics.
I took his statement responding to Larsen with a jab rather than Liefeld bit he mentioned…
I found Absolute Supes 4-7 in a bundle for $5 total. These all seem to sell for $8-15. Do you think it’s worth it to pack them up for $40 or wait to see if these ever catch fire? My philosophy is typically “don’t get caught holding books after they peaked.” Flipping $5 for $40 works just fine for me. But I’m curious what you all think.
