Time to list one or two of the Killadelphia comics I’ve had tucked away?

A book I recently came across and added to my list. It’ll be coming off my list without ever buying a copy.

Yes. HR #6, and HR #3, if memory serves me correctly.

Thanks, D-Rog, for mentioning the Stray Dogs “thank you” book a few days back. I had no clue it existed until Tues. night when I read your post. I immediately reached out to my LCS (a small chain) but their copies were spoken for. Ugh!

I finally managed to pick one up at my backup LCS yesterday for $48. Not too bad considering they are selling for more than double that on Ebay. It is a 40 page gallery book reprinting prior covers but it’s still pretty awesome. I guess only the cover itself might be fresh artwork. It includes some exclusive covers including the Carrie homage (my favorite) and “missing poster” (5 in total) ones that I was unfamiliar with.

So glad I check the forums here! Where do folks typically learn of these items? I may need to expand the comic sites I visit.

Maybe that was Heritage selling and buying it’s own book…

A bunch of Harbinger 1 9.8s have moved today.

Haven’t seen any news announcement.

Also 2 copies of the Harbinger 1 9.8 DMG Chinese Edition (2015) have sold for $1k+

Must be just coincidence

Maybe because there’s a new #1 coming out soon perhaps?

That news I know of, but you would go out and spend around $1k for a 9.8
on new series?

Cheapest raw copies of cover A now at $75+ now.

So these 9.8 sales were first volume Valiant from the 90s you’re seeing?

From 1992 Valiant

Yeah, that’s odd. I would not spend that much on that comic.

Last update from 2019

Remember back then there was no Paramount+ streaming service.
Perhaps Harbinger gonna head there? :man_shrugging:

I will say that finding a Harbinger #1 with coupon intact and getting a 9.8 isn’t the easiest thing. I’m not sure why it is moving, but I do believe it is a fairly important comic book in the grand scheme of comic book history/nostalgia.

Even if it does, seeing Bloodshot make it to the big screen, his first appearance is back down to dirt cheap type of value… As much as I like Harbinger, I don’t see their comics making too many waves…

In regards to the that Ploog WWBN cover…I’m a huuuge fan of Ploog, but I’m not overly fond of that cover. Sure, it’s “rare” but I honestly think the money would be better spent (if we are talking pure spec and ROI) on multiple copies of the A cover.
