Whew…you all were right. Animal Castle has some major buzz going on. Outside of the normal venues even. Solid book. I liked it.

Do you think this suit will appear in Spiderverse?
The middle pic has some Indian language lettering (Hindi) there - maybe Spider-man India makes an appearance.

There’s also a ton of variants for FF#1 In which the new spidey suit is featured. Along with a newsstand which are pretty tough to find. I have a graded copy on eBay.

I feel bad for everyone buying Animal Castle #1 at the high prices because the hype will die and the book will fall hard.

I forgot to pre-order but picked up a copy yesterday at the shop for cover price. Shop still had plenty available…

But I don’t feel bad for such people… when I miss out on books I just intend to read because they heat up initially (and yes, indie books like this always rise and quickly fall), I just wait for the trade to save a boatload on cash… 
FOMO is a real disease… society has a patience problem nowadays… I blame Amazon with their next day delivery and the internet where people get everything with seconds of news posted!

I thought you were going down a “Nick Scratch on the wallpaper” type rabbit hole, but then i rewatched the trailer. The soundtrack has a Bollywood feel while Miles and Miguel are swinging through what looks like a metropolitan area of India. You may be on to something.
My shop also had copies of Animal Castle on the rack yesterday. Again, I enjoyed it, but the added talk of folks saying “nobody ordered it”?.. I’m not seeing that here. All shops had plenty.
I think Stray Dogs has folks on alert to animal comics at the moment.
I don’t think many ordered it. Not a copy to be found in any of the 6 shops I went into Friday. That isn’t to say that makes it worth a lot going forward, but I saw none of these.
I feel like a lot of people could have done what I did, which was intend on going medium-heavy on this book and then pulling back as FOC came around. I had a 30 book bundle in my cart at my LCS and ended up rolling back to 3 Cover A and 1 Cover B. Oops.

I couldn’t make it to the LCS, but was able to find a couple shops that had one copy online for cover plus shipping. One cover A, One cover B. Since I typically have a 50-50 chance of an online shop having it in stock, so i grabbed both.
But it took a while to find an online shop that had a copy.
