There’s also not enough good spec every week, so they feel they need to follow the model you mentioned
I always thought that Star wars 34 had all the makings of a pump and dump. How is the first appearances in that issue any different than any other SW issue?
There will never be anything funnier than constantly calling it “Bleeding Stool”, I never get tired of that joke lol
I ordered copies on solicit because I wanted that Darth Maul JTC cover.
Why are people clicking the link lmao
I think that’s actually somewhat the heart of the problem - these shows, influencers, etc. feel the need to have something to get excited by each week, and so even those that aren’t deliberately engaging in pump’n’dump allow themselves to get on board the hype train, as it feels good to be able to have something to talk to their audience about… although the truth is, most weeks are fairly flat for spec, but that’s not how an audience for one of these shows gets built. I don’t necessarily blame them for that - their audience are as culpable for expecting there to be a certain level of frenzied activity ever week.
Economics in comics wasn’t bigging up the Aja cover he was bigging up the whole comic, he was saying that there’s the leveller and there’s artefacts in it and it’s a good story… I doubt that hes pumping and dumping.
@Ottooctavious I never said anything about him pumping and dumping. I never even watched his video.
I just commented on the fact that all the copies of it suddenly vanished and that because all of the historical data in terms of “sold” listings were fairly low it may be a good book to check for at your local comic shops.
I preordered it. I don’t care what anyone charges for the thing at this point.
I don’t care what they do as long as it makes me money.
Because it’s an actual website…
I’m afraid to click it. My spider-sense tells me nothing good will come out of it…/
It’s safe…
If you follow his channel/regular posts…he’s just as critical about books he feels don’t deliver as he’s excited about one’s that have potential.
That seller is a shill. thecomicshopspotetc He buys books from Midtown a week before release…and tries to fake high sales…
He did the same thing with HR 9 1:25 & other books…
Here’s another shill…
That seller has a score of 1. Lol. Doesn’t ebay have a program that blocks bids from the same ip address as the seller?
Yeah. That’s the guy. TheComicShopPotEtc.
How can what he does make any money?. Does he just cancel the sale so it “looks” like it’s legit?
Should be “TheComicShop(I’mSmoking)PotEtc”…
He was doing a lot of this with Spider-Man 7 too.
I think it shows up as a sale regardless if money is exchanged. He probably wouldnt even need to cancel
He has ‘another one’ listed already
