I took a peek on eBay to see if this cover was actually heating up. I was surprised to see so few cover As out there, and it seems like all of them that are auctions have multiple bids for 2X cover price. It’s not a US1 thing at the moment, but it’s just another generally healthy sign for the hobby that there’s more interest in books.
See Marvel, if you don’t parade out absolute crap every month, people might want to give you money for good books.

I’ll remind everyone how valuable almost all the books from the first Ultimate Universe series are less than cover price across the board. So get rid of them while there’s interest I’m looking forward to see it drop in price. All the books out there that are actually good and it’s ultimate Spider-Man fever in here.

I listed my copy of Ultimate Spider-Man for $50 and I sold it for $45 within minutes. Maybe I listed it too low? I’m happy with the profits.

Yeah, you probably could have sold it for more… Last copy I sold on Sunday was for $90 CAD… But on the bright side money is money!

I think folks are purposely purchasing the ugliest cover they can, to say they own one of the ugliest covers. It’s becoming a thing. Cheesecake covers, Newsstands, Ratios, CPVs. Australian price, and now “ugliest cover”
