i think while prices are still around cover atm, a few years from now the monk virgin could fetch some good prices, especially if he keeps doing good work in the series

I love horror comics and one area that I’ve been slowly accumulating are the Wildstorm books around Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Nightmare on Elm Street.
For some reason, there has been pretty big movement in Friday the 13th Pamela’s Tale mini-series. The #1 has always sold in the $15-$30 price point, but recent sales are starting to push $50+. In fact, the only active listings on Ebay are asking for $300+.
If you are out hunting, this would be a series to be on the lookout for.
Some other tough to find books to find in these series are the variants for #1 done by Tim Bradstreet.

I concur! The Friday the 13th Wildstorm series was awesome and issue #4 has an iconic cover. Great call!
The Pamela’s Tale series received a boost because of casting news for Pamela & updates on the Crystal Lake show that is planned.
Caused a decent spike & the books were featured in a few places.

Absolutely…it was funny you mentioned it as I was at a con & pulled this from a $1 bin yesterday. It’s not crazy expensive, but I thought it was really cool (and it’s certainly worth more than a a buck).
I was specifically trying to to find #2 of that darn Pamela’s tale as I only have #1.
Also, Halloween (Michael Meyers) books are the other one to always watch for. There are some insanely valuable comics from that out there. But any & all if the price is right.

I have collected as many Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Nightmare on Elm Street books as I could. Have also grabbed any of the other franchise tie ins that I can find, have been doing this for years. Horror, especially the slashers, makes money.

I’m completely jumping the gun with this post & will fully accept any ribbing or later “you sure blew it with that” posts, but I believe grabbing a copy of that Wolverine #8 Johnson variant (black cover/arrows) will be a good move today if you see it.
