It’s early, but it’s healthy at the moment. Manga is not my thing, and I was not paying attention to this title at all until I saw Midtown was sold out prior to release. That struck me as surprising for a #1 Bat-title on an incentive like a 1:25, given the quantities they typically order. Looking around, I didn’t see a lot of supply with online retailers in general before/on release.

It is not manga. Check out the spoilers I posted.

I’ll rephrase; manga-influenced art is not my thing, and despite my avatar, I think DC tends to lean too heavily on Bat titles. The spoilers did make it look more interesting than I expected.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Remember last year when there was the Godzilla and King Kong variants that had sound when you opened the cover?

I think the unholy grails should do something similar, but play Monster Mash when opened…

Probably would be too easy to single them out in a polybag though…

those were actually cool.

They could of done for the Batman blind bags playing the original TV show theme song, haha

I guess I need to start looking for Red Hood trades.

That April as Casey is getting a bit of buzz for sure.

I don’t expect this book to catch any heat on the aftermarket, but it’s just a cool cover. April O’Neil as Casey Jones (well, taking on his role). Why not? Dirty D Cover-of-the-Week!
