I believe it only shows sales from the last 7 days. So any sales from 8 days ago or older are dropped off the list.
I sold 3 alone of cover c this week.
I bought 15 off eBay myself this week. Somethingâs off.
Indeed, even 130pt only shows 15 or 16 sales. For some reason they must not be getting captured correctly.
Nice. Of all the Mark Brooks Monsters I have had in. Thatâs one I held on to. I have that and the second print of #1 that I didnât list.
Do not pass on the âsexy coversâ for Monsters
This is the one that got away from me. I had a chance to pick it up real early at my online shop when they had copies. Was thinking whatâs so special about this than the thousands of other âsexyâ covers from indie publishers every week? Doh, didnât keep up with it and it got out of control.
Is it normal to have a 2nd printing solicited for only 1 day?
I just happened to notice Snyder tweeted about Absolute B #2 2nd for only 1 day.
Iâve been out of the pre-order craziness/criteria for many many years with new books, so was curious when I saw that.
It seemed like a âvery short windowâ to pre-order.
i got a stack of the ratio agent of shield quake photo cover, hoping they use her in secret wars movie
You forgot some people already have a kink for monsters. Combine a kink for monsters for sexy covers and youâve struck gold!
Ha yes.
Donât feel bad, you never know what could plummet in value and youâre stuck holding the bag, so to speak. If you made money, be happy and keep moving to the next flip! @agentpoyo taught me that when I was complaining about selling my first issue of Rick and Morty for a lot less than I should have some years ago.
Seriously, though. Visiting family near the Canadian border, went into a shop Iâve never been to (Iâll write a small blurb when I get a moment). Was in there about 40 Minutes and nearly all the conversation amongst 4 other customers was Mark Spears and how hot his books are right now.
The owner admitted he got caught off guard and the third print was the first book heâd order for the shelf. It was a decent sized store too.
I had mentioned that I was surprised my shop had a large amount of Monsters #2 on the shelf last week when I went in.
Surprisingly, there were still a number there yesterday (the Spawn homage & the "guess whoâs back).
I debated buying a few more, but frankly have plenty & went about my business. They did however still have 3 copies of #1 priced at $24.99 (the #340 homage) and with a sale I decided to grab one as it seems like the love for these books isnât going to die soon and that isnât a big buy in. I have the regular cover but not that.
Anyway, while I was shopping, I noticed the owner pulled all of those books and asked an employee to reprice them. $20 on the #2 and $50 the #1.
I also know they are having a big sale Friday so Iâm sure that played into it.
Iâm all in on this first Monsters series. I believe these books will be sought after long after the comic market meets its doom with the next generation. Horror fans will still exist and theyâll want these.
Oof, pessimistic but possible. I worry about the comic biz future.
