A $30 sale is bogus. The seller changed the price after the book sold. And I said āfuture dollar binā. Never said when in the future. I can use a bigger font if you cant read.

This was my sale yesterday, $25 + $7 shipping. Buyer paid the full price on my OBO despite tons of listings of cover price or slightly over yesterday.
So I know this was legit and not shilled. I donāt know why it sold so quickly but it did.

I found this listing this morningā¦person had 10 copies for $3.50 each. 5 copies worked out to be under $30 shipped. Was going to post for yāall looking for copies under $10.
Went out for coffee, and now itās gone.

No denying itās a hot book.
Btw I read the first issue yesterday, it was absolutely incredible. Tbh I was never all in on Batman prior to this. I liked the character enough but something about him being an ultra rich aristocrat never resonated with me, I just donāt find that character fascinating.
This version of of a blue collar Bruce Wayne growing up in crime alley and childhood friends with all his rogues is facsinating. Really want to see how their story plays out and how their paths diverge.
I already know this from being familiar with Dragottaās work on East of West but I think this title will raise his profile to superstar level ala Capullo. Lots of people seeing Dragottaās work for the first time.
I love this title. Itās gritty, violent. People who love the Dark Knight are going to love this.

I already said I thought it was going to be good because Iām familiar with the creative team. This is a superstar creative team. I just thought it would be a bad spec based purely on the sheer number of preorders, exclusives and people being made well aware pre foc.
Looks like Iām wrong, the first issue has surpassed all my expectations. So I wasnāt around when Frank Millerās Dark Knight came out. From what I heard there was so much excitement and that people were lining up at their LCS for every issue that came out.
This title is it for me.

Iām very tempted to list my copies that I wonāt have in hand until next week for $30 as a jokeā¦but at this point Iām afraid they might actually sell (some idiot is going to lol at my sales record and think itās a legit posting)ā¦and then Iāll start getting nasty grams from eBay 7 daysā¦
It actually might be a good idea to wait a while. This title isnāt going away anytime soon and people will still want it, thereās evidence that it can go the Ultimate Spiderman 1 route, copies sold out and then FOMO really hits.
I was at an LCS yesterday and some guy came in looking for issue 1. Shop told him it was sold out and will try to get one for him (didnāt tell him it was sold out at distribution). Customer told him to put Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman, all 3 titles on his pull list.
My guess is heās read the reviews coming in for Absolute Batman and is now getting FOMO or he read the issue online (using nefarious means) and was good enough that heās getting the entire line on his pull list. This title is a hit, no need to rush to sell these.

Down to a limit of 1 copy now. I remembered I wanted a Detective 27 facsimile edition so tried to add a few copies of ABM1W. It literally was allowing me to order 8 about
10 minutes agoā¦but when I went to close the deal just now it cut my copies to 1.
