As the song goes, “Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg…”
My 1:25 Daredevil 25 2nd…the one I requested to be shipped to me only if it would be in a Gemini or similar container.
Full disclosure, it did arrive safe. Although some decent color rub onto the backing board (which is really Marvel’s fault for sh!tty ink and paper quality).
Some ratio variants still available while browsing TFAW:
Carnage Black White and Blood #1 (of 4) (Momoko Variant)
Sword #4 (Scalera Variant) Kib - I really love Scalera’s covers, only 2 left at time of posting.
Trials of Ultraman #1 (of 5) (Art Adams Kaiju Variant) - 1 left at time of posting.
Justice League #59 (25 Copy Liam Sharp Variant) - Naomi’s Villain appears (I think, I need more coffee).
Non-Stop Spider-Man #1 (Kubert Variant) - Love Kubert’s style.
Package looks undamaged though…
Yes. It was more the point they say they don’t do this, And when they asked me if I still wanted the book I said I did only if they ship it in a Gemini container like they’re supposed to for 1:25 books…and this still happened.
I’m not complaining as much as i’m putting it out there for others awareness it’s still happening…and why I have my books shipped monthly to avoid it…
Oh I know… remember, ongoing training of employees to stay consistent is a struggle I’d imagine.
One thing that I think may also be an issue is I don’t believe when things are re-shipped that they have a price on them. They’re “comped” so the invoice in the warehouse shows that the customer paid $0 for it when it prints out. And the standard MSRP on all the covers is regular cover price so there’s nothing about it that jumps out. So unless the person packing recognizes the comic as an incentive or it clearly says so in the title they may not know.
It’s been a bigger problem for these recent Marvel ones for 2nd printings because the regular issue’s title also had VAR in it, so seeing order after order with “Daredevil…var” in the title and it’s not the variant but the regular 2nd print then the actual design variant comes up, it could be easy to overlook.
I think a long term solution will be to talk to the devs about giving CS a way to flag if a re-ship or replacement order is an incentive, and a short term might be just me remembering on some of these Marvel ones to put the ratio in the title so it’s more obvious.

did they even hit the system?
With drops, there may be only one or two copies.
Yes, they hit the system and stayed on for a few minutes even after they sold. There was one of each drop. We monitor the web page. We also have readers contact us with what they are dropping so we can try to get other readers a chance at getting them. Cart drops are finicky though.
They were definitely there because I saw a lot of them and didn’t grab them because I dropped most of those on Thursday and Friday
Dang I really wanted that one, but I was just too slow!
