A particular favorite song of mine from 1986 by Dan Seals has been playing in the back of my mind quite a bit lately.
It’s a good tune called “All That Glitters Is not Gold”.
When I asked why i was told it was due to allocations.
Now I was able to add… ughhh…
Allocations before FOC??
Yes, that’s what I was told when I asked why a book (I forget what Thor later print it was) was 1 per prior to FOC.
And they’ve been doing it with others too. Didn’t make sense to me to limit orders, Pre-FOC. Make the extra money.
Venom 28 is still pre-FOC and it was only on TFAW for a short bit and 1 per. And now it’s been gone for a few weeks while they have 29 up for sale.
I emailed TFAW about Venom 28 and got the following:
“ Thank you for contacting us. I looked into this matter, and sadly we are completely sold out of this title at this time for pre-order. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic this first came up for pre-orders back in Apr. and why they are sold out now. I do wish there was more we could do to get this for you though, but you may want to setup our Watchdog Service as that would email you if they are added back to the site. ”
That sounds like a scripted response… and they’re reading old info and have not updated it with relevant information. Remember, these customer service people could have zero idea about comics or what’s coming out, etc.
That’s new one. Anything know about that? I’m not seeing it on their site.

Odd request, but question for Venomismypassion. Are you willing to part with any of your 116 copies of #25 2nd print? Apologies in advance if this sort of ask is against forum rules and no worries if you’re not interested.
Happy to alleviate some of your risk on this book and add to my own risk lol. Nothing crazy, just like 5-10 copies or w/e

There’s been a lot of back and forth as well as varying opinions on multiple threads. But is the feeling now that Venom 28 will be first full appearance of Codex?
Key collector app is now noting that Venom 27 will have an “appearance of Codex.” Does not note exact type. I’m still leaning towards 28, in which case that book will probably do a little spike unless shops are over-ordering it…
Until we see the book, we don’t know. I’m going to load up on 28 either way. I think we’ll continue to see new characters being introduced for the next few issues regardless.

The other big thing with Venom #28 is that Web of Venom: Wraith hits the week prior. I can only assume that this timing makes perfect sense (given all the changes to Web of Venom relative to release states/Covid delays, etc). In WOV, we are introduced to this “being of light”. I’m hoping #28 may be a double whammy of both Codex and further info on the light.
Could also be the reason we haven’t seen the cover.I mean, we already know what Codex looks like.

WoV was supposed to come out well before Venom 28 originally so I wouldn’t expect them to tie in unless they did some changes.
As to Codex, I believe it’s been said that 27 is a full and he’s in several pages. Iirc the original video from Econ that sparked this said that.
Key could just be waiting until they get confirmation.
