This book has stood out all year. Super geeked to see a series. Man, I hope it’s done well.

It’s been a great read.

Probably the best overall title from the past year, IMO. One-shot special coming out, then issue 7 hits early 2022 I believe.

100% agree. Best title this year and looking forward to the Blacktop Bill One shot… you’d imagine there will be a 1st app or two considering how little we’ve seen of that side so far.

On the topic, I’m not really sure what issue would be considered Bill’s first full, but he has what I consider cameos in 4 and 5, so maybe 6? His first cover is on #5, but he’s the silhouette in the background of the 2nd print for #1.

Also, I really think this variant cover for #6 will end up being a pretty decent non #1 key. Obviously, we just met her, but this is her first cover, maybe first full app for Bea Bellweather. She has a cameo in #4 for sure, not even sure this appearance in 6 qualifies as a full based on recent debates. Certainly looks like a character that could be cast well and become a favorite if she’s compelling and interesting.

And this is why I said to not sell them. WOW!!!

I’d say Blacktop Bill cameo’s in # 2 and his First Full is in # 3.

I’d say this is right. I didn’t go back until now. It felt like we got him later, but he’s definitely all over #3, now that I went back and read them individually again.

I hope Netflix does it justice cuz they just F-ed up Cowboy Bebop…

Yeah but live action anime is way harder to do than comic books, I can’t think of a live action anime done well let alone one done by netflix

True. I guess I had big hopes…

There’s a reason it has “anime” in it’s name…

anime - a style of Japanese film and television animation

I always get nervous when a new title has a break and comes back with volume 2. Was it a one-trick pony with the story? We Live, for example. I have my doubts there.

But, I just read Nocterra issue 7, which kicks off the second story arc. REALLY good issue. Maybe one of the better written ones in the series, and that’s saying something. This might be my favorite title out there right now.

Strong covers, great interior art, excellent story.
