Nocterra

“something in the air”…lol

Any book can have “something in the air”. If you aint got proof, shut up. Otherwise, it’ll just look like a pump n dump.

This is maybe my favorite title right now. Such a good book. I still think they missed by calling it Nocterra. Sounds like a Norwegian death metal band. Had they called it “The Day the Sun Died” or something more trendy, this would have more buzz. The first five issues of this are a better read than the first five of SIKTC, in my opinion (and I still like SIKTC). And FAR better art.

I like Nocterra as well. Option or not, still a great read everyone should be picking up I think.

Everything is a pump and dump. It’s so hilarious to read this every single time. Who cares if he has proof yet? It says speculation on the page.

We can ALL buy this comic at our LCS, or any number of hundreds of online stores for cover price.

Pumping and dumping to sell a bunch of books for cover price is a bold strategy, Cotton, let’s see if it pays off.

Doesn’t matter if it’s cover price or not right now. It’s the deceitful tactics to sell something that nobody wants based on lies. That’s a true pump and dump. It’s what snake oil salesmen do to sell stuff.

If the article was a clear cut and dry review to tell us how good the read is to boost the sales, that’s just marketing. Not everything is a “pump and dump”…

But if they’re just going on a hunch from “something in the air”, that’s just a bunch of BS!

I like the book. I have the black and white soft cover. Hopefully people start buying.

I have the Hardcover kickstarter w/ prints.
But hardcovers and prints can’t be graded so it’s kinda worthless to a large majority of folks who believe value only comes when in plastic with a number.

They also sold like 3x as many hardcovers

Kinda funny related note:
There’s a hardcover up for sale right now listed less than others. It mentions there’s a dinged corner but “… thats OK because it can’t be graded anyway”
We’re so cgc ingrained that the sales pitch now is don’t worry about the damage because no number can be assigned. It’s the twilight zone

This came up and my softcover sold straightaway

i need to grade my SC’s none on ebay

I hope everyone brings that same “pump and dump” , “something can always be in the air lol” energy they did a few days ago.

Of course, Snyder could be trying to pump and dump some copies. I wouldn’t believe the rumors quite yet.

Maybe they actually have contacts and hear things. Maybe Scott Snyder himself slipped up at dinner and someone overheard.

Again, there was NO reason for them to lie about this. Reading the book alone was enough to convince me multiple studios could be looking to make this one at any time.

Unless you think Snyder is lying also.

devil is in the details, who optioned it says alot. at least nocterra is a better book than undiscoverd country

This might be a 2nd print opportunity. Daniels cover with original art. I barely saw these in shops and I was looking for them.

I also think that the silhouette in the background could be our first look at Blacktop Bill, who does not appear in story until a cameo in #4 and is on the cover of #5.

First print was pretty heavily ordered. At least it had dope variant covers from Jock and Boss Logic, so I’d suspect Cover A was ordered less than it typically would be with this title. 2nd print will have some legs if this option news keeps moving forward in a positive direction.

2nd print cover looks neat. A good breather from massive-like feeling of the variant covers. Simple and looks elegant.

If we’re talking silhouettes, that looks like Blacktop Bill’s silhouette behind her on the #1 2nd print.
