What is it with the empire/inquisitors not finishing off traitors?
Good episode otherwise.
If she dies she dies. She’s proven to be no threat to Vader, but as GI said, revenge is a powerful driver for staying alive. Her hatred for him could be beneficial for weeding out obi-wan again or other things he wants…such as a son on Tatooine.
With that said, I’m surprised Vader didn’t Dooku her.
The way he was holding those two Sabre’s…it was what I was expecting.
But the spoilers have her making a trip to tatooine in the last episode (that’s all I’ll say) so would have also been shocking if he did.
Does Reva babysit Luke ?
nothing like a 30 year old playing a what 18 year old max
I guess getting run through by a lightsaber isn’t want it used to be.
Yeah…obi-wan disintegrates in E4, but everyone else seems to recover just fine. Must be a force ghost thing.
It’s called “light saber therapy”. Good for the gut. Cleans out all the bad stuff. the hole? Just toss in some droid parts and your styling!
What were they called in Books of Boba? modifiers?
The Mods. It was an homage to the Mod Rockers of the 1960s and 70s. An ill-informed homage to Lucas’ love of car culture and “cruising.”
No, but I think there’s a good chance Qui-Gon Jinn makes a cameo as a force ghost.
I don’t forsee any surprise new fan fav characters debuting.
This show just keeps throwing the Episode 4 baby out with the bath water.
“I feel a presence I haven’t felt since…” now means significantly less
“Years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars…” never mind the fact that you literally rescued me from Fortress Inquisitorious a few years ago.
Disney had one goal when they bought Lucasfilm: Mine it for all it is worth by exploiting the Fandom’s love for the franchise.
Good call!
Good episode
While I enjoyed the series, I didn’t love it.
A nitpick I have is the their duel. In my mind, Vader wouldn’t have left him buried without verifying he was dead. I’m certain he would’ve sensed that he was still alive and, if not, he would’ve at least found his body to be sure. I hate that they turn Vader into a Dr Evil doofus villain that twice “killed” someone and then just leaves without verifying the death.
Afterwards, when Obi Wan had Vader very damaged and beaten, I feel he would’ve killed him. I would understand if he had some weakness in him for Anakin bit he says, “My friend is dead”. To me, that was him coming to grips with the fact that Anakin was dead. He even calls him Darth. I can’t think of any good reason he wouldn’t finish the job right there knowing that leaving him alive puts more people, and more Jedi in jeopardy.
Except that he’s a Jedi and that’s not how Jedi behave. It’s all analogous to their temple duel. It’s also analogous to the Mustafar duel. When there is no way around his opponents defeat, Obi-Wan always gives them a chance to yield. It’s the Jedi way to preserve life.
I personally loved the episode and the series overall.
I have a few things I didn’t like. Mainly how Obi Wan escapes vader in Episode 3. But the good far outweighs the negatives for me. Thought the girl who played Leia did a great job. Loved the Vader stuff in episode 5 and 6. Qui Gon force ghost (wish we got some more though), Beru and Owen going hard as hell to protect Luke, tons of jedi survivors getting canonized, NED-B was great.
Main gripe is some design choices with GI and 5th brother, not getting more Roken/Partisan backstory, and Obi wan escaping because of the fire.
In general, I liked it a ton though and I don’t think it really changes film canon at all. The Leia line still makes sense. Yes she could have said, “You helped me escape inquisitors 10 years ago” but nothing was retconned and now we got more story. Obi-Wan still served with both Anakin and Bail in the clone wars.
Also explains why Vader didn’t hunt Obi-Wan all that hard with the Palpatine scene. And to me the Vader line “A presence I’ve not felt since…” still means “since that last time Obi-Wan beat my ass” but it’s referencing this fight instead of the duel on Mustafar.
But now I need more details on The Path. Give me a book, comic series, or show about that. I wanna see what Quinlan the others have been doing. I do think we have a pretty good chance to see Quinlan in the Bad Batch season 2 as I think they’re going to Kassshyk and that’s where Quinlan was during order 66 in legends.
wtf
no one dies
