Odds and Ends

Looks like there are at least a couple of versions on ebay as well as other heroes. I think this is the same one if you wanted to track one down: THOMAS & FRIENDS MINIS ~SUPERMAN ~ Rosie DC SUPER FRIENDS ~ TRAIN Free Shipping | eBay

No reason to start a new topic, but no one ever talks about this and I’m excited. I just received my copy of The Amory Wars: Raiders of Silent Earth 3 #1. It was only passed out during the three days of Coheed and Cambria’s Neverender cruise ship show. The book is well over a year old and still no mention of it in most comic circles. There’s even a variant cover, but it was only available with a subscription to The Amory Wars as well. I managed to snag a copy of it too! /end rant

I had a bunch of issues (several number 1’s) of the first Amory Wars series. Was a super hot book that people passed over. Back in the good old days before people shared a bunch of news and spec.

It’s such a weird title in my opinion because comic collectors consider them next to worthless yet Coheed fans will pay an arm and a leg. While I happen to fall in both camps, I’m just content with having personal copies.

Thank you. I got one yesterday from an Ebay user. Thanks to @D-Rog for the mention of this version of Thomas.

@Gbess I’ll post a few more pics of my Superhero Thomas mini’s. But I’ll do it over in the “Unique” collecting focus thread.

So, I still sometimes check out live comic shows on Whatnot or even check out eBay Live. It’s a lot of garbage and a few gems in the rough. What is with people who do shows now bragging about a comic being uncirculated, however? It’s not like it’s some rare currency. It’s a comic book that people bought at a store. What does this uncirculated mean? Is it the same empty statement as when you say someone should grade something because it’s gonna be a guaranteed 9.8 even though there’s no way to guarantee that?

Apparently Dynamite can’t make payroll next week unless they get some of the million dollars diamond owes them?

Silver Sprocket is allegedly in huge financial issues too? They’re a fun indie publisher who I follow on Facebook and their hot pissed about an article discussing all their issues.

I bet Dynamite is in trouble. They were deeply tied with Diamond. Nick Barucci and Steve Geppi I feel like have been friends forever.

I see that Wildcats in dollar bins all the time. Now, to be fair, I have a strong desire to buy every one I see (I don’t), because that single issue is a top 5 book for me. I vividly remember pulling that from the shelf in 1992 and thinking this was the coolest damn book I had ever seen. I do still have my copy that I pulled from the shelf, and I’ll never part with it.
