Sold a Stranger Things Halloween Special. I didn’t even know I had it. Lol.
I sold a Darth Vader book I didn’t realize I had listed, it had been so long since I listed it. Took me a while to find it.
with new people in charge of SW movies and shows im hoping it picks up steam again
I keep all my books and I’m selling alphabetized in four boxes. I try not to go over the four, but it used to be too so there you go.
I am really hoping that Star Wars picks up again because I have so many books I need to move
I think Star Wars will pick up again. I feel like they kind of go into cycles but the last push was just a bit too much Star Wars without them spreading it out a bit more, so it ended up being a turn off for some fans and such. Too much gets overwhelming and makes it less interesting and people move on to other interests.
High Republic has so much potential…and they totally fell flat on their face with introducing it to the non-comic/novel audience…Maybe the Dawn of the Jedi movie will help get the pre-prequel stories going again.
WTH
I had to look twice to ensure this wasn’t a satirical/parody/purposely fake news site.
This is a double face palm
Slower day today. Only four orders. I have 12 packages going out tomorrow. Won’t all fit in my mailbox.
Two more eBay sales and a Mercari sale brings the orders up to 7 and 15 going in the mailbox tomorrow.
My mail man is going to hate me.
I always misunderstood why this happens. Why would the mailman hate someone for sending more mail. Because when you think about it, that very mail is what keeps him employed. If there were no mail or less mail, there might be more reason to let him go as they’re no longer needed.
I use to wait tables and you know, everyone hates that person, couple or group that all show up 5 minutes before closing time (for those that worked restaurant jobs). I’d be the only one or the one who’s saying, I’ll take that table because most of the time, that last table, knowing they kept me there after closing time, working longer, usually gave the best tip of the night and I also needed the money. So I welcomed more work when I knew that money was keeping me employed so I can pay bills and feed myself… ![]()
My mailman is awesome. Loves comics too and we chat about them. He, thankfully, doesn’t mind when I ship a bunch and always scans stuff and so forth. When we have a sub it sucks tho.

Two words, government employee. No incentive to work more or harder than you need to. Have you ever seen someone at the DMV happy to see you?
I try to reference Newman every time I’m at the PO. They love it
That’s completely different scenario though… they’re gonna get paid no matter if there’s a line or not. But have you seen the customers they have to deal with daily? We’ve all been to the DMV, most of the people in line can’t follow simple instructions, bring the right forms and then act like it’s the world’s fault… I wouldn’t be happy working there either, but when I’m not happy working somewhere, I also have the ability to quit and find a new job. Not everyone has the ability to do that.
And yes, USPS is governed by the federal government but they’re also a bit different than most of the agencies.
I think you have me beat today….barely.
Doing some gambling too, I see…tell me more about this slot machine from TJ Maxx.
I have an arcade down in the basement. I am getting an antique nickel slot machine that is currently out for repair. My son (Sam, my 12 year old) who is possibly the greatest gift giver for Christmas and an all around sweet kid, got me a toy slot machine bank for my office. It’s currently on the record player until I find a better spot. I like to fidget so I play with it when anxious or on a call or meeting. Also added two more comics packages to the stack. Woo hoo.
