Hush 2 returns in Batman 158

I feel like I am among a very small group of people who thought that the, “Hush,” story was fine, but without Jim Lee’s artwork it would’ve been a relatively unremarkable storyline. I’m indifferent to this news, in other words. It’ll look good, at least.

I didn’t like Hush either. I barely remember the storyline, the real draw was the art.

In the Hush storyline, the art was fire and the writing was great (IMO). New character arc and I think the twists and turns through the entire arc were really fun to follow.

Also, we were led to believe that Jason Todd was back, only to be shown it was Clayface impersonating him, however, Jason Todd’s remains are missing from his grave! In the later released ‘Under the Hood’ arc, it’s revealed that Batman was fighting the REAL Jason Todd in the graveyard but later in the fight switched places with Clayface.

I love all of the covers from 608-619 so much that I have the full run in newsstands (plus some extra’s)! I completed it right at the time people were realizing that, while still niche, there was some potential with them. Not high grade but I don’t care - they’re not going anywhere  Issue 608 also gave us the legendary 2nd print cover!

Ah, newsstands! Man, there were/are people who hate the barcode

The, “Blade,” movie got delayed out of 2025. Delay number 32 or so.

Funny you mention this bit. It was the one part of the, “Hush,” storyline that kind of grabbed my attention and was made even more interesting later on with the retcons. Otherwise, the story just didn’t grab me with, “Hush.” It was obvious the newly-appeared old friend was going to be the new baddie. Lazy plotting, that aspect.

DC is also reprinting it as a series of facsimile editions, starting in January 2025 with new printings of Batman #608 and Batman #609.

Maybe I’d grab a 609 foil…but 608 has so many reprints as it stands…why bother with a facsimile? Are they really going to sell…?

#609 is a great cover and would look awesome in foil! I have the 608 foil simply to have next to the OG

I’m not sure on these reprints as a big seller as it does seem kind of weird, I’ll just re-read my Hush TPB.

Went to a gaming store and picked up this poster for $15. My goal for next year SDCC is to get Mcfarlane to sign it.

im watching wrestling tonight and dc its going all in with the ads tonight (warner bro owned channel)
had me thinking has marvel EVER advertised their comics on any of their channels

Not that I can recall. They really, really should though.

ECW? They are doing a tie in comic with them that was free at stores today. I picked one up because who knows. Wrestling fans love spending money too.

You do see a lot of crossover between comic fans and wrestling fans. It makes sense. Over-the-top characters, dramatic storylines, and so forth.

I love wrestling, it’s my other love besides comics and NBA basketball
