Anybody have any idea what’s going on with David Finch? I haven’t seen any new art from him in a while. Met him at last year’s HeroesCon and he was super nice. Love his art.
He was doing variant covers for stuff not too long ago, I think. He is a fantastic artist.
Here comes the Hell-verse.
In fact…I kinda like the sound of that.
Hell Spider
The Hell-tastic Four
Hell Panther
Hell Surfer
Hell-Pool
Hell-Vengers
Hell Knight
Iron Hell
Thank you! Did not know this.
Sweet…another Daredevil/Punisher Team-Up!!!
Loved the first movie and the way Affleck’s character makes others “uncomfortable”.
If anyone liked The Humans from Image a few years ago. They are coming back in August from a new publisher, apparently Image did not want them again. It is going to be magazine size this time. It looks really good, I’m on Tom Neely’s patreon and he is always posting his art from it.
“The Humans,” was fascinating and weird. Thanks for updating us on the newest iteration.
I loved that comic series. Joe Hill is a great writer like his old man.
Would make for one crazy show!
I’ll accept my cut of the check they sent us for helping whenever you’re ready to mail it
I really enjoyed The Humans…
I haven’t been able to find this book since after it came out…I grabbed a copy on day of release…
was hyped a little bit during NYCC when one world under doom was first unveiled.
If I recall correctly, first appearance was a cameo at the end of issue 12.
Such a great new character
Right up there with Spider T-Rex or whatever that dumb character was.
These Marvel writers are such talented creators/writers
I have heard from creators that the Marvel and DC writers have it in their contracts that they have to a certain number of new characters in their writings. Marvel and DC mandates that they have to introduce new characters, they know this sells books. Now the writers do get some royalties if the new characters take off but it’s not much and they don’t own the IP.
This is why we get creators introducing derivatives of current established characters in their stories ie Kidpool, female Bullseye, Spider-girl, etc. It’s a quick and lazy way to fulfill their contracts and it’s derivatives of characters that they won’t own the IP anyways.
They save all their best ideas/creatives for when they branch out from the big 2 and create their own universe ie Geiger, Ghost Machine etc. So I’m not going to put it all on the writers for the terrible new characters that are introduced in Marvel/DC.
Yep, I hear ya.
It’s almost like knowingly joining creative purgatory; just for a future opportunity to be what one wants to be. Like selling one’s soul for a potential future.
I suppose many of us do that too when entering the business world.
That said, the execution even in this creative purgatory; is simply abysmal.
I don’t know what this character is and certainly will never know, but a Doctor Doom cape on a Tyrannosaurus Rex; complete with the little doo hickey flap at the top of the head cape? It’s just pathetic within the confines of creative purgatory
