Odds and Ends

Anyone getting this? It’s a monthly comic told via newspaper format by Ben Percy and Stephen King. I’m irritated with Bad Hand press, as they still haven’t shipped a book I bought 14 months ago. But, I’m definitely intrigued.

That is cool, Stephen King has talked about how much loved a serial format. He originally wrote the Green Mile in a series of books, I’m not sure if they were actually distributed in serial book format or not, but they were written that way.

If i were a gambling man, id bet good money the book is Father Gaetano’s Puppet Catechism signed by Mignola.

And i say that because im aggravated at that dude who runs the business like a horror show of one of his books yet to be written. Hes quite the ass and i will not support him going forward.

I haven’t been this excited for a movie release since the 3rd chapter of the Lord of the Rings and/or Avengers Endgame :face_with_spiral_eyes:

amen to that… looks like there’s 1 comic with several variants? Tidal Wave. I didn’t even know they were still producing comics

I’m pretty sure those comics are unofficial. The company didn’t approve them or anything it’s like when they do those comics about various celebrities.

Just read that we’re getting a relaunched Daredevil comic in 2026. Yes, the debut issue will have blind bags. Sigh.

The only way I would buy blind bags from big dealers like Marvel, Image, and DC. Is if they include some original art from random artist. Make it a 1:50 ration. They have all these artist that get paid good money and we the consumers are buying their stories, their art. I think its the least that these guys could do.

That’s a good idea, so obviously they won’t do it!

Played the long game on this one. Buy in was $15 but knew it would eventually sell. They were going for $100 when they first came out. I think midtown still has $15 copiess

Comics by musicians? Those can never be good! Now then, back to reading that new, “Umbrella Academy,” series.

12 year old kid who lived two doors down from us at our last house just killed himself. Crazy, I have a 12 year old. Our 12 year old is such a little kid still I can’t imagine him doing something like that.

A 12-year old in my daughter’s class killed himself a month ago. He was bullied because he was struggling with his sexual identity. At 12 years old. Just horrible.
