Baltimore area shop had a 70% off back issue sale. Spent about 2.5 hours picking for stuff for me and to sell. Pretty good results. Will post later.

I went to a local small con today…just to find out it was last weekend (lol). So instead kept on driving and hit 3 shops I’ve never been to before…made out better than I would have at the show. Would have done even better if one shop didn’t limit me to 1 copy of each comic….A LOT better…

Started listing some of the books I got yesterday. It’s Easter morning and I was up early. Got an early start. All in all I had two purchases. One at $50 and one at $30. Sold 2 GI Joe books straight away from the $30 purchase. Nets me $30. The rest of the items (7 books) are profit now.

Thats pretty funny.
If I’m correct, the stolen books are mostly “one of ones” as the were high grade (many highest in grade) pedigree copies of the biggest keys from the golden age. So these wound be nearly impossible to sell on the open market…as even if cracked they can be easily identifiable from their unique flaws. To bring these to an auction house or reputable dealer who could afford them is essentially turning oneself in to the authorities.
Like the Nicolas Cage Action 1, eventually these will turn up.
Not sure if there’s any comic appearances already but there’s a FCBD issue of this next month, might be worth grabbing since it’s free haha
