As you all should probably know judging by my handle here… this news of Chew being turned into a show has got me all excited! ![]()
I just thought you were a large chicken that learned how to use the internet.
Well, that too… ![]()
I had heard something like that about a month ago. But was not sure if it was official.
WTF is wrong with adults…
My kids love needohs…but they don’t last long before they destroy them…
So I had to run out and do an errand…figured I’d stop by 5B to pick one up for my daughter…apparently this is pretty popular….line is out the door and stretches down several other store fronts…
Should I be flipping something…?!
braindead adults are buying this crap for themselves.
Social media has eroded their maturity.
I lump this in with Disney Adults…
Disney Adults need to be rounded up and taken off the streets…
I read the article. A $1,000 shopping spree at Five Below?!?!? What the heck would you spend that on? I don’t think I would be able to spend $1k at Five Below in my life time.
Y’all are hating on Disney adults without realizing Disney owns Marvel so we’re technically all Disney adults if we enjoy Marvel! Plus, don’t forget a chunk of decades ago comic book nerds were really the scum of the Earth/butts of jokes in a lot of people‘s opinions. Moral of the story is I don’t judge Disney adults as I’m all for people enjoying what they love!
I understand the Disney adult criticism, and some people take it way too far, but let’s not throw stones in glass houses. Many, many, many people would lump comic collectors right in with them.
Comic people can be weird. But so are 300 pound Tinker Bells.
I saw a 300 pound Minnie Mouse in person in the flesh. Not fun.
I know…but even better is that I think out of all the 5 belies in the country there is only ONE golden ticket. That just seems so lame time…
Regardless…I had to see what this was all about and report back here. So I got in line and sure enough it was pretty clear the parents were more into this event than the kids…some had already been to one 5 below already and were planning on hitting another after this one (there are 3 within about 20 minutes drive from me).
So yes, I took one for the team and picked one up for my daughter (not to flip). And because they were limit one I knew my son was going to feel left out so drove to the next nearest one after than and grabbed another (no line there).
I really had nothing better to do this morning as I was going to go to a comic show today but then decided against it.
Anyway…here are the two before the kids got ahold of them…
(Dog wants me to drop one so she can tear it up…little monster she is)
Btw, these things looks sooo cheap. Even for $5, they look like the quality of what you’d get at the $1 store.
I was expecting them to me more like needoh…doughy and such with somewhat of a tough rubbery layer…but they’re more watery/fluid…not far removed from a water balloon.
I’m not understanding the hype around these…
I don’t think my kids were impressed either…
I’m looking for suggestions for a base stand for displaying a slab, kind of like this example from one on Amazon. Anybody have any recommendations? I had one of my kids 3D print one off the internet, but the filament is too light of a material to support the weight of a regular CGC slab very well.
