I have to admit I’m a sucker for facsimiles, I can’t get enough of them. The foils from marvel and DC I’m not too crazy about because I find the foils make the covers look very muted. I wish they were doing more spot foils because it would make the colors really pop.

The regular facsimiles especially the ones from DC I just love them. DC prints the facsimiles on nicer newsprint paper and the whole presentation looks great. Makes it look like you’re reading an original copy from back in the day with nicer paper complete with the original ads and letter pages. Love them.

And unlike other reprintings of the issue in question, it will be at the original Mirage oversized dimensions, roughly 7⅜" x 10⅞", it’s 44 pages, black-and-white, at $6.99.

Not exactly fact…unless it means no other facsimile or reprint has ever been offered at a $6.99 cover price.

That is the only thing that’s likely true in this statement.

The 2nd and 3rd reprintings were full size.

Wasn’t there an exclusive recently that they did a foil of the cover…I don’t recall if that was full dimensions, but I thought it was. Can’t find it on eBay.

Then there are the 40th anniversary reproductions, using the original newsprint paper quality, production negatives, and printing process (as much as they could replicate. Which is Waaay cooler. I got mine signed by Eastman.

* TMNT Vol. I #01 1st Printing 40th Anniversary Reproduction (TMNT: A Collection) * | TMNT: A Collection.

These facsimiles will likely have a bar code and $6.99 price on the cover. :face_vomiting:

There are quite a few reprints on this list that are the oversized format…

I meant same size as the original

Yeah. It’s been done before…and many times. Not sure they got their facts straight…

This is awesome news and I’ll be pre-ordering both volumes. I did not get a chance to read this in singles. I’m pleasantly surprised it’s by Byrne, Simonson and Buscema, some of my all time favorite creators and I haven’t read it yet so I’ll be all over this.

My wallet has taken a beating from all the great omnibuses and Absolute editions that are coming out and getting reprinted. I’m slowly getting back into collecting deluxe editions again as I just love them. Thankfully I got lots of fomo books that I’ve been selling to cover the costs.

At first I thought it was a money laundering scheme, but it ended with no transaction. Must have just been a joke.

Shipping $6.01 is too high, that has to just be an ounce or two at most… I’m out…
