I really thought that V-Z were completed and he was moving on to other letters. So basically they processed some orders but they were the smallest letters to do. I mean how many X Y Z were there really, even V. All the Williams and Wilsons got their orders though.
Also, do not like the “concealed carry” notification. Thats just kind of tacky.
I really do not believe everyone is getting their books and really understand people are upset that they are not getting their money or books.
The Whatnot stuff, I get it, they have to make money in order to pay off debts, but they need to be forthcoming if they are selling books they owe people. I would hate to have paid for a book and be waiting for it, just to see the same book go on clearance on Whatnot.
This is why once they pay all their debts with whatever money they make from sales, whoever is left, customers or vendors should proceed to open a civil suit against them. Bankruptcy protects you for X amount of years but it doesn’t excuse you from paying all your debts, you are still liable after bankruptcy ends to pay your debts to everyone.
Yeah… I’m in that group of his as well
That’s also the the thing about him, he’s so damned smug & obtuse towards everyone.
He never comes across as sincere, remorseful, or apologetic. He just seems like such a an @#$&$_#.
A person who is worried about their safety… shouldn’t engage behaviors that result in situations which makes for the need to worry about ones safety.
Anyone actually know this guy, been to his store, etc. I sure hope karma gets a hold of him.
Yeah, it would have to be something in the line of tax evasion or if massive fraud can be proved. Odds are he stays out, goes through is bankruptcy and keeps going either with Frankies or a new store…rinse repeat.
No. They used to be partners but fell out a long time ago.
On a side note Frankie’s started out as Hoknes USA a branch of Hoknes Comics. Hoknes Comics went down in bankruptcy and they each blamed each other.
As a side note, Kevin at Frankie’s has always been really good to me and I have no ill will towards him. The business problems they have are their own but Kevin has always been open and honest with me. I haven’t really dealt with him in years, long before all this went down.
So Kevin stepped in the first time Hoknes got in trouble with too much debt to Diamond. Then Hoknes got in trouble again after they partnered up and went bankrupt. Kevin launched Frankie’s out of the ashes.
You all know I’m a raging liberal so I get not wanting to offend people, but I also understand context like a logical person. A story set during the Civil War will have racism and a story set in WWII will have Nazis. Just how stories from the past are products of their time and benefit from a disclaimer or context, stories set in the past benefit from not overlooking the bad stuff in the past. If we try to erase any of history, good or bad, it does everyone a disservice. We need to be willing to show the horrors of slavery and WW2 whether in actual history or in a fictional tale with a space alien. I’ll climb off my soap box now.
This exactly. Which is one of the reasons why we buy DVDs cuz later on the company decides to remove and episode from the streaming services cuz people decided its racist or something or delete scenes from a movie and re-release it with out it. People need to know that history is part of us and we just need to learn from it. We are ALL descendants from slaves at one point in time whether we like it or not.
