This is now the criteria for making the list of “Nick’s Picks” in any given week.

  • Came out a year ago
  • awesome cover

Slim pickings lately to justify putting a list together, I guess.

Can we have an anti-KCC Picks list ?

I suggest “Dick’s Picks”. There would be be some slim…pickings…on it

Anyone named Richard here want to run with this idea?

Anyone…?

David’s Bitter-BOMBS could work. Even though it is pronounced, “Bau-um,” most folks say, “Bomb,” at the end.

I did the list of my terrible picks a while ago with real reasons on why they are viable.

Prediction….

ASM 301 appears on the Hot 10 list next week (or runners up) due to this $450 eBay “sale”. Despite the numerous recent sales at or below $250, as well as current listings that sit at $300 or less…

The problematic misconception of people using “proofiness” when it comes to the data presented.

I also dislike when people try to tell me… “this goes for X dollars, just look at these eBay listings” yet those are just the BIN listings with no actual “sales completed” at the X price they claim it’s worth… Gotta have actual sales before you can claim something is valued.

But Poyo, those Disney tapes listed for thousands of dollars yet also found sitting in thrift shops for quarters must be valuable!

My dad use to collect those unopened Coke and Pepsi bottles that would commemorate College and other Sports championships. He had like 3 of the Paul “Bear” Bryant Alabama Crimson Tide championship… swore they were worth $100 each.

I saw them sitting in a shop once for $5 each collecting dust and the owner had like a good dozen or more of them. Told my dad about this, he was mad saying I should have bought them all cause they’re worth $100 each. I tried to point out, if this guy has dozens of them and can’t sell them for $5 each, why do you think they’re worth $100 each? He went on and one and on… I just had to shrug and listen to him moan in why I didn’t buy them all. Finally I ended the conversation with… “If they’re worth $100 each, sell’em but until then they’re worth nothing since yours are also out in the garage collecting dust themselves!” Yes, my dad kept his out in the garage up on a shelf as well… where they were collecting dust.

You’ve just summed-up a lot of folks trying to sell stuff on the internet for more than it is worth.

when my uncle die like 7 years ago i got his stuf-errr junk
some would say someone would buy it , i would respond no that someone just died

So why do some best offers have the price crossed out, while others do not?

Gonna have to talk to eBay support for that one…

It goes beyond the internet… my dad didn’t do computers. He would buy coins from the US Mint and still send off his order via USPS with a check… :hushed:
