2nd unknowncomics delivery today.
no complaint as usual.Check to see how much ink has rubbed off the comics onto the boards of those marvel books…
Wow. 2nd Unknown order. They have canceled all of my orders.
Damn. ok yeah I’m convinced its personal against you. Try a diff name and send to ur address.
Man has to be personal. Seems odd. I’m sure they read the forums.
On another note, I received my first order from Poor Boy Comics (3x Wolverine #6 and 3x each of each X-Force #13) it was pretty nice!
Anyone else using Legacy Comics? I ordered from them early on and had no issues, seemed to ship quick on a preorder. Another preorder on Wolverine 6 (2 copies of A and 2 of C) but hasn’t shipped, no emails and no responses to emails. Again just a $15 dollar order, but rather frustrating to not get a response. I do see that there might be 2 different emails. I was responding the invoice email, but there is a different email on the “contact” page. That might make a difference, giving it a try.
EDIT - don’t reply to the invoice emails. I sent an email to the contact page and got a response within 2 hours.
I had a very positive experience with Graham Cracker Comics out of Chicago. I ordered a copy of Commander in Crisis #1 virgin variant. They had a great deal on it given what other online stores had it for. When it arrived- the Monday after it came out- the copy I got was not the virgin variant I had ordered, it was the regular cover. I shot them an email with some pictures. I got no reply from them. But the following Monday, I got a box in the mail from them and, sure enough, they shipped the virgin variant free of charge. I have got a few different orders from them, but it is actions like this that will keep me buying from them.
Tfaw.com on the delivery… light package today some 1:10s and and 1:25
All 3 in great condition. Another good delivery from Tfaw.
Huh. that 1:25 should have kicked this up to a gemini style mailer. Wonder why it didn’t.
So 1:25s have to come in Gemini mailer’s? Well that mailer was pretty stiff. My 3 yr old sat on it and it didnt bend.
I think @RipCityGamer said that if you order 5+ books or have a single book that costs $7+, the system flags the order for a gemini type mailer. My apologies if I’m getting those rules wrong, Brendon.
You kno what that does sound familiar. was my 1st time ordering ratios from Tfaw. Got more coming so hopefully that happens.
Hey look what Amazon delivered today
(Amazon was the actual seller and) I got this for about $2 after using reward points - they really just threw the book into this oversized padded envelope/sleeve thing shown in the pic (bare boned) and let it ride.
Somehow it arrived in better shape than most comic books I order online - I know, I know - it’s a heavy duty trade paperback but still.
For those that care, wasn’t expecting the cover that I got (specifically, the grey ‘best new series’ logo on the bottom left) - ended up being a second printing - dated October 2020.
Because it if was fulfilled by amazon, it likely only spent a few hours in the padded envelope in the back of a contractor delivery drivers car…
Just used Fantom myself, as you recommended them for We Live #1. It wasn’t a sterling recommendation though but they had copies at cover. I just ordered the one copy and it was a $10 order including shipping. It arrived very quickly but was packaged horribly. I mean HORRIBLY packaged.
The bagged and boarded book was put into a cardboard mailer that was much to big for it. It wasn’t secured to or cushioned with anything.
In the pic the books sitting on the inside flaps. It was just put in there and closed. Allowed to bang around and caused all sorts of damage.
I mean this is not only an online shop but a physical location as well and they don’t know at all how to package books.
Emailed them and got a response 2 days later. Which doesn’t even address the horrible packaging. Nor are there any reassurances of proper packaging for any future purchases.
I felt like I was being treated like I was picky by the response I got which follows.
“ Thanks for your email. We apologize for not meeting your expectations with this purchase. Unfortunately, we do not have a replacement copy available, so we have issued a refund for the full amount through PayPal. There is no need to return the comic. Again, we apologize and thank you for your support of Fantom Comics.”
I’ve never gotten a response that didn’t defend how they shipped or that’s not how they usually ship being the prevalent response. They apologize it didn’t meet my expectations. Definitely will not being doing any future business with them.
That is supposed to be the policy. The actual number of regular comics it takes fluctuates because it’s more about how big the issues are than the specific number. We’ve had new people starting in the warehouse the last few weeks and I know at least one of them was reminded about that last week beceause they forgot the rule and were putting small orders with incentives into the envelopes, so my guess is that’s a holdover from that person.
I can understand them not explaining their packing method as they already made right by the refund and apology.
What would have happened if they explained the poor packing? It would still have resulted in a refund and apology. Sometimes you just take what you get… at least they did refund and apologize and didn’t ask you to send it back, like many retailers might of asked out of you.
I see he already posted. So I retract My statement.
