Online Comic Store Report Card

This is actually the reason we default to shipping with everything bagged and boarded. I feel like we actually save money as a store by doing this because we are not paying to replace damages that came from not bagging and boarding. I actually give a discount to people who order in bulk and do not want the non-incentive covers bagged and boarded just because of the labor savings.

The first comic shop online that can cater to all my whims will get my business. I’m going to check out DCBS just because they offer that. Though I prefer fullbacks. They take up more space but I like the added protection.

Though I’ve never ordered from DCBS, I once did the math and found that the mylites with fullbacks option ended up being cheaper than if I would have purchased them on my own, in bulk, via Ebay.

Yeah when I get mine I buy directly from eGerber. Got 1000 each in Standard size last time. Much cheaper than eBay prices.

oh wow nice - thats real bulk, lol.

Yeah, I’ve yet to purchase more than 100 at a time…

It’s setup that the more you buy the cheaper they are.

I told them a bunch of times that they should give people the option to pay extra for a gemini mailer, because the books gets damaged in transit, but they didn’t care. I got too many damages from them and then they would send damaged replacements. Paying for bags and boards is kind of lame too.

That’s been my experience lately too. The best part is that instead of actually refunding you to your card due to their error selling you books they don’t actually have, they keep the money and eventually apply it to a future order. The upside is that I’ve scored a bunch of incentive variants lately for the price of the regular cover. I don’t know if that was a pricing error due to their complete lack of attention to detail or what, but if they pull them from my shipments after we have an executed contract between buyer and seller, I will be taking my business elsewhere. It sucks when you think you’ve got something ordered and don’t buy it elsewhere when you can and then your loyalty is rewarded with a giant hole in your collection/spec strategy.

Gerber is the cheapest for mylites and probably half price relative to everyone else. However they are currently over month behind in shipments. Orders now are shipped in 4 weeks or more.

DCBS also has fullback and mylites 2 at 50 cents per comic.

Gerber is the best. Use no others I say other than Gerber.

I don’t know where DCBS gets those mylites from from, but I felt like they were subpar quality personally. I initially got them but quickly stopped.

@nonlinear Agree with your points. I also felt a bit of allegiance to them since they were always so good. I too, had amazing success with variants from them. I recall getting the Strange Academy Opena 1:50 for like 35 bucks!

Call me crazy, but it drives me nuts to have a bag with a creased flap. I stopped getting the mylite2s/fullbacks from DCBS because they were coming with random creases too often

I just got my star wars republic comics today from popculturezone. All books in great condition. They are one of the most reliable sellers.

You went all out lol…

They were selling ten packs for $28, so it was a good deal.

popculturezone is the best ebay seller I have come across.
