Gotta stick to your guns man… Long ago when MCS treated me like trash on the street, I said never again. Have not shopped there since…
Pew pew pew.
I’ve decided the same. Mine came with the larger bags a few days ago. The bag thing don’t bother me as much as the boards. Have yet to get an order where the boards weren’t dinged up on corners. Also, had two books with bad spine wear, and one of my Star Wars books had wear on right side cover that probably knocks it down to an 8.0. I wasn’t happy with my last order, thought I’d give it another shot, oh well.
Brendon mentioned that above. Supply chain issues.
Ok
… this was a big drop today.
1st up Unknowncomics in the diamond box. Everything minty packaging great etc.
Next is Tfaw… got a mixed up order and quite a few books with ticks that signal bad handling maybe? Idk.
Books were mostly good a few I guess printer errors
Then the big mess up. Paid $40 for a $4 book ASM 55 ratio but got the 3rd print.
My entire recent TFAW order has those ticks on every book. Half of them are so bad there’s color break. Had to say adios when they wouldn’t take them back
Yeah this was a big order… I have another 100+ book order coming. The wrong ratio sent. Books with a few ticks on them. Kinda pissed off for the amount I paid. I have to contact them about the ASM 55 mix up. And the ticks I’m not even gonna bother.
I agree with the ticks. Received my order yesterday that was delayed from two weeks ago. Not sure if it was over handling by the TFAW staff. Nothing real major but may need a press.
My latest DCBS shipment that shows just being shipped out does not have the 10 copies of Star Wars The High Republic #2 in it. These were ordered well in advance, back in December and no explanation was given about why they were not included in the shipment. They have been paid for already and should have been included. If not then why, just email me and let me know what happened. Their customer service is not very good and if you email them it may take 4 or 5 days for them to send you a reply to it.
TFAW has good customer service but today they pretty much said I was lying to them about having 10 copies of a comic ordered almost a year ago and as recently as a few weeks ago I took a screenshot of it showing 10 copies locked in but it’s now been reduced to one copy and when I contacted Kyle he said it had been a limit of one since they first listed it as being available for preorder. I sent them 2 screenshots from a few months ago and as recently as a few weeks ago showing the 10 copies locked in after just noticing today that they have changed it in the last few days to 1 copy and I can show the screenshot but I won’t yet until they respond to the email I sent today. If they reduce the amount I get after being locked in they should have sent me an email telling me they changed it and why. These were ordered well before FOC and would be included in my next shipment. I will see how they handle this before I say anything else.
I stopped DCBS a long time ago.
Cancellation after cancellation after cancellation. I had enough and took matters into my own hands. They are done
If it’s ordered before FOC there shouldn’t be any limits. Unless it’s a ratio variant.
Was it Eniac?
Used DCBS for a very long time…they have now lost my business entirely. Never an issue with quality or shipping, but their lack of communication, unreliability relative to preorders is horrible now. Not sure what happened to them…maybe a fall out of Covid, but imo they are worthless as a comic preorder company now.
I haven’t had the problems you guys have had, but I ran the numbers and for my usual order size, it would be the same price to go to a local shop for preorders… so I’m doing that.
I think they’re cracking under the weight of being the sole DC distributor.
