Online Comic Store Report Card

Bubble wrap is a waste to me if you have packing peanuts in the box. As long as the comics in whatever they are wrapped in don’t move or slide around, then you’re just wasting bubble wrap I think when mixed with packing peanuts.

If wrapped with paper and packing peanuts used, don’t use bubble wrap around comic wrapped in paper (or priority envelopes).

If wrapped without paper, wrap in bubble wrap to prevent comic stack from shifting and peanuts work.

But don’t mix the two, I think you’re just wasting packing materials at that point that don’t necessarily reinforce the protection.

I used to work for a moving company and man all the mailing supplies wasted by those companies was just crazy they had all kinds of packaging materials from every shipping company. Poor trees…

I almost have zero waste when I ship. I’ve cut down pieces of cardboard that got reattached to reinforce packages.

Oh I knew. You packaging skills are top notch :+1::grin:

Would you say that I’m…

@D-Rog cries I’m better at packing now…

Got my TFAW order in today. Got it in a box. I was a little nervous as this is my first big order and no bags and boards with couple of variants. The books where packaged in paper and the Last Ronin book was at the bottom of the stack. I was a little upset as it was a little different shape then the other books. So I undid the tape from the paper and took the books out. I got to say I was surprised to see that the variants where in bags and boards. And the books where in bundles of 5 inside a comic bag. I am very happy with the shipping since nothing happed to the books. Now I can give my boys there Star Wars Adventures books from them to read and got the High Republic books #1 and #2 for me to read. And since we just finished watching the hole Star Wars Clone wars even the last episodes, they are excited for more Star Wars. Now on to ordering Star Wars Rebels…

Thanks TFAW!!!

No worries AgentPoyo. Your a busy bee…

Unknown comics packing is the best I have ever seen and they are one of the few places that dont cherry pick the best copies. shipping is slow but the quality is high.

That’s exactly how I feel. Unknown probably gives the USPS tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars, in business per year.

Just got an order from Dreamland comics. Probably 45 books. All books are in better grades than they listed and the packing was great. All in a bag bundled tight, then heavily bubble wrapped and boxed.

Dreamland from Illinois? I’ve ordered from them. Good stuff.

1st order from G-Mart I gotta say nice packaging and the books are minty!!

There is a shortage of current sized bags from diamond. I put in an order of 1000 a month ago and will finally be getting them next week.

Anybody have luck calling MileHigh for support? If so, what would be a good phone # to call? Thanks!

Yeah, I’ve been to Dreamland a few times when we travel to Chicago. Very nice store… clean, organized and well stocked.

I just received my first order from Frankie’s Comics in Apex, NC. I bought their store exclusive Adam Hughes Catwoman cover of Detective Comics 1000. I also ordered a couple of copies of their store exclusive Gabrielle Dell’Otto The Joker #1. In my order today were the two copies of 'Tec 1000, a free copy of Gwenom vs. Carnage #1 second print, a King in Black temp tattoo in the package and a Frankie’s Comics coaster. On top of all that, the shipping was reasonable, $6.99 and the comics came in a Gemini II holder in a plastic envelope in a Fed Ex stiff paperboard envelope.
