Online Comic Store Report Card

Yeah, whatever the complaints are, I’ve never had a bad experience with Frankie’s. Having said that, I don’t order that often from there. What I really need is more online back issue sources.

If you email them you can get a free shipping code. Haven’t had a complaint about them myself

Thanks for the tip!

I’ve had plenty of issues with orders from there, but they do a good job of responding to issues and resolving them (even if it’s a little slow at times). Still not a fan of those new types of mailers that they and some other exclusives shops are using, but it is what it is.

Oh my. Comix Zone cancelled my order on Fantastic Four #6 because it was past FOC and they were out of stock. Lol wtf. It’s a 2018 book lol

I ordered 12 copies total of two different variants. No way they were just magically out of stock of every issue #6 all of a sudden. So be careful trying to order from them. If you order more than a few copies they cancel the order and probably reprice them and put them on eBay or something. I believe someone told a similar story about them doing that in this very thread

Has anyone ever ordered from G-Mart Comics? I finally found a newish book I’ve been looking for and wanted to buy 5 copies. They had it at cover price ($3.99) and it can sell for a dollar or two more on eBay. However instead of a $20 total not including shipping it was like $65. As their stock gets low the prices get higher. Guess I won’t be buying from them. I’m used to a discount when buying multiples not the opposite.

I also can’t for the life of me figure out how to search their site. It pulls up every entry whether it’s in stock or not and you need to compare the color-coded list to see if it’s even available. It’s a dumb set up.

Yeah it’s definitely setup strangely. I only searched one book and it was in stock. I just like to buy multiples and a $3.99 book went to over $13 an issue because I wanted more than one.

That Gmart site looks rough to find things on.

I’ve G-Mart many times, but only for backstock. Newly released books are limited to 1 or 2 at cover price and their ratio variants are Ebay priced or higher.

Book I was after was from 6 months ago.

I’ve only ever bought from g mart twice and it was 1 book each time. They packaged well but mind you it takes like a week or so for them to process and ship it out

I just did 2 orders from G-mart for some old minor x-men keys. Their pricing is weird how its based on both FMV and how many they have in stock. I probably won’t get them for a few days but I read positive things on here from someone else about them.

I like G-Mart, mainly because I control when my purchase ships. I can continue to add books to my existing order until I want it to ship. Saves on shipping.

Did anyone complain to TFAW about the bags and boards issue for a refund. I mean I understand why but I got golden age bags with silver age boards and I just had to use my own stuff to redo it all. Not only did I pay $15.00 on the last order for bags and boards but I had to spend an hour redoing it all.

I got Silver Age Bags and Modern Boards. If they were free I wouldn’t care but they charge so that made the difference. I complained but wasn’t offered any kind of refund or credit.

Yeah this was real annoying and time wasting. If it can’t be done right I shouldn’t be charged.

Yeah I still dont know why they charge for bags n boards when most shops dont. After my last order and this upcoming order 135 books an extra $40 and then the shipping and taxes? I’m patient I can wait for the books if I can save $120.

I went back to unknowncomics for my weekly orders. Tfaw will be for ratios/incentives.

Oregon doesn’t have sales tax…

What does that mean? They’re charging tax
