I was driving north yesterday and there was a minor accident in the southbound lanes that had just happened (no one on site yet). I was up north for maybe an hour and when I was driving south I had to slow down at exactly the spot where the accident was. It wasn’t there any more, but with the traffic volume on I-91 through Springfield the residual traffic jam from the accident was still present well after it was gone.

There are always just a lot of excuses made for Tfaw. Even Brendon kinda just scoffed at my post with books being delayed from Unknown and not really for any other reason than to argue semantics. Books release dates changed, damages, shortages. It doesn’t matter what the reason is. The point was that everyone I order from lets me know when something is missing from my order. Everyone except Tfaw that is. Tfaw is the only place where I have months worth of books sitting in my waiting to be shipped list and they are certainly the only one who doesn’t give me any reasons why it is happening. I do not have this problem with any other retailer. You can make excuses for them all you guys want to and argue irrelevant details as much as you like but my point still remains the same. I do not have any of these problems with any other place I order comics from. It is only Tfaw that is the problem for me. Other than an old Midtown story of how my order got returned to them and they never even contacted me about it I don’t recall complaints about any other retailer in this thread by me and I order from several a week. Westfield, PCK, Comix Zone, Unknown Comics, Third Eye, Midtown. I have not personally had one problem with any of those places in the past 12 months but have several with Tfaw in the same time frame.
*Forgot that I did have one problem with Superworld comics one time and it was resolved.

We call those people who have to slow down to look at the accident from across the highway… rubber neckers… drives me absolutely bonkers when there’s an issue on the other side of the highway yet I get stuck in the lanes that should have zero issues on car flow…
But then again, if you’ve ever lived in Austin, a traffic jam on I35 or MoPac can wreak havoc across the area, causing everyone to try to cut through neighborhoods and find other routes, only causing traffic to build up elsewhere. I love working from home… and I only care if my books show up in decent condition. If it takes a little longer, oh well… I’m patient.

I got my most recent shipment from TFAW and I thought that the packaging was exemplary. I had about 30 books shipped in a box full of peanuts packaged tightly. All were in great shape. There are a lot of criticism directed toward Brendon but the last few shipments have been fantastic.

Just got in a huge delivery from tfaw. Tons of variants and other books. Was so worried, but they came well packaged as always, no complaints. Also was worried about the re-sale of some but already started moving some of the bigger books.

DHL is the worse shipping company. Hebron, KY is where packages go to be forgotten about.
DHL either is speedy or SUCKS. No in-between.
Got my books. Let me tell you, I would rather have them late than damaged. They were packed well, and no damages. I would like to see some more alternating of the spines, but only a couple of books you could tell the pressure got to them (nothing crazy). The lot was almost 100 books in all, in a 25 lb box, delivered via FedEx Home Delivery.

Shipped doesn’t always mean it’s actually been shipped. That could just be the label was generated/created. Wait for actual tracking updates, that’s when it’s been shipped. 
Comix Zone order is already in Indianapolis. With Unknown you are correct, the label was just created 4 hours ago so I expect it to ship ship in the next 48 hours as usual
If you’re Anthony, all your shipments from Unknown are in “shipping status for over 2 months” before they actually ship out…
Got around to opening my Red Room from Izzy’s today. Looks good. Came in a legal flate rate envelope that had some damage but underneath was a Gemini, so no damage to the comics. Would do business with again.
Just received my Red Rooms from Izzys and they were loose and sliding around in the mailer. Luckily the backing boards absorbed the damage. My books did have issues as shown in the pics. I’ve emailed them and am awaiting a response.
Haven’t gotten my Izzy’s variant yet. Hoping it arrives safely!
I’ve switched most of my preorders to TOSS and I am having great success. I did the math on the percentage of books from Diamond I’ve ordered that were “damaged” or “shorted” through my LCS and were never replaced. I never get to see the damaged book either. In 2020 it was 13% of the books and so far in 2021 it’s 30% of the books. Most of the shorted/damaged books are hot books.
