Anybody have any experience with ordering from 2000 AD shop? I’ve been eyeing a book for a long time that I can’t find anywhere else, but I’m unsure of what condition I can expect.
2nd large order from TFAW without bags/boards, everything arrived great. Ordered 3 of the Dept of Truth 5th print and received 1 secret variant, I added the bag before photo as it was with the rest of the non-ratio books without bags but in mint condition.
That’s good to hear. Have a very large order $1200 and I selected no bags n boards but there are quite a few ratio books included good to see the ratios come bagged n boarded already.
Not all of them. I got 5 ratios that where not bagged and boarded. Good thing they where between other books. So lucky no damages.
My biggest TFAW order to date just started processing.
About 75 books including incentive/store variants. No bags and boards.
This delivery will make or break my relationship with this company. Books arrive damaged and it’s a wrap.
Fingers crossed.
I’d say, if they arrive damaged and they shoo you away and ignore you then it’s a wrap. Anything could happen that’s out of their control and might not be their direct fault.
Anyone else’s SWHR Adventures 3 1:10 also get added to their last order? TFAW must have gotten some replacements from the initial damaged batch.
I also got notification that my order of Solid Blood 17 has officially been cancelled. It feels like that book came out a LONG time ago.
Was there a Solid Blood 18? I have one copy and it isn’t selling…and I don’t know what to do with it…
Kirkman wrote it right? You can always use it as backup toilet paper… or use for the bird cage liner at the bottom…
I got the same email. While I still have about 7/8 books with. No update or movement on them
So has it been confirmed that it was actually a crossover tie-in?
Solid blood was just a weird joke from Kirkman, nothings come out since and didnt really have to do with anything
There were costs in producing Solid Blood 17 for Image, for them to do nothing with it would be unusual as it was not really promoting any book.
I expect it to come back up again, may be years though.
Yeah but those costs netted them a nice pay day… hype up something odd, make buzz among the collectors and speculator crowds = easy money!
Oh well, I’m rolling the dice on a few of these from 2000ad shop. I can’t find any unboxings or anything about there shipping.
That’s a pretty sweet Tula Lotay cover. I’m taking a chance on a couple myself now.
I didn’t scoff at your post at all. We’ve been trying to figure out a way to notify people on their accounts when stuff is allocated or shortages or damaged. And we’re now making it a policy if a significant number of an issue is missing (short, damages, etc.) We let those people know. It’s happened at least twice so far.
The only thing I pointed out was that the unknown email just notified when comics had their release dates changed. It wasn’t notifying on items shipping late or past on sale or anything. Which is still a useful thing, but wasn’t what people were asking about at the time.
As for the backlog of stuff that should have been cancelled, I’ve spent the last two weeks working with CS to help set up zendesk and some other tools to make their job easier. So now that the new person is trained and they’re caught up mostly on contacts, with zendesk speeding things up we can go back to having them once a month go through past due orders and notifying customers what’s happening or if they’re cancelled.
Like with a lot of publishers I’ve found it hit or miss. I’ve ordered books and prints that show up perfectly packed, and I’ve ordered prints that showed up rolled with a runner band in a padded envelope.
But they’re super nice and friendly so if it shows up damaged Im sure they’ll take care of it.
Has anyone had an experience with Westfield comics customer service, I cant seem to get a response from them on phone or email.
