What forums were like that? That sounds awful. If something old is worth discussing again then let it happen!
Some tech forums I was a part of and once when I was active on a coin forum.
Stop necroing threads, man! Freakin noobs!
Yeah, I’ve seen sites like that. They are pretty ruthless about flaming on that too. We are chillaxin’ here!
Dustin’ this old thread off. I’ve been updating my box labels. The adhesive business card holders are awesome for this. Highly recommended. Here are a couple of the new ones:
Ok i have a question for you folks: When you start a new short box what do you do to ensure the books to shift and fall over/bend.
I was recently adding Captain America Sentinel of Liberty 5 to my Captain America short box and I noticed the books leaned towards one end of the box. This resulted in the book and board for Captain Carter 5 beind totally bent in the shape of elbow macaroni. Not too bad a loss because not a big book BUT Captain Carter 1A now has slight bend and dent but not color breaking.
I want to avoid this in the future for sure.
I use a plastic bcw shortbox with the divider so the books do not fall over. When it is full I move the books to a cardboard shortbox.
Ill just put extra backing boards at the end of the box.
good luck
The BCW plastic bins have dividers that are adjustable so you’d have no issues with them. A small cardboard box like a kids shoe box would work in a pinch for the cardboard bins.
I have this stack of cardboard toy bricks from when my kids were younger. I put a sheet of cardboard against the books to keep them straight. Extremely low tech, but works great.
Everyone always has a thousand plastic bags in their home. Just ball a bunch up and stuff them in there. It provides a cushion so the books don’t move and will not leave imprints.
I updated some of my misc Marvel and DC box labels this week. Showing some Red Canary character design love .
Those are fun!
