He did reveal that image as the cover A to #308 last Monday night. I dont know how many retailers saw it before FOC closed. But I definitely did

(sorry, this got off topic)

Weā€™ll just pretend were talking about McFarlane pumping to dump his own bookā€¦

I wasnā€™t insinuating you were whining at all. Your ā€œis this what speculation is about?ā€ Just reminded me of Charlie Brown getting confusing messages from his peers when he knows in his heart what is right, but is looking for conwfirmation, nonetheless.

Then Linus steps in and tells a story about baby Jesus and wise men that I never could quite follow to this dayā€¦leaving me asking ā€œdid he really answer the question?ā€

Anyway, good to have you here and I think calling out pump and dumps needs to continue and this is the place to do it. Because I think a LOT of people do wander through here (what would you say the observer-to-poster ratio is here, @agentpoyo?) and eventually those who take advantage of others will become obvious trends and eventually will be outed by the undeniable facts and case built against them.

I did look at this Matt Page guys Facebook profile and heā€™s also all about god and religionā€¦God is Great yadda yaddaā€¦yet heā€™ll scam you out of your honest earned money.

Iā€™ve found the people who talk the most about how religious they are and how wonderful a Christian/Jew/Muslim they are tend to be the people most likely to screw you over. Iā€™m not against any religion, but those who flaunt it the most seem to be using it more as a tool than their actual beliefs.

Well eBay needs 10% and God needs 10%, and now internet tax some places as high as 10% youā€™re looking at 30% just to cover the fees for these religious sellers.

Iā€™m fairly religious and would never and have never pulled what he isā€¦I have no intention of pulling that crap in the future either. This guy is either completely misguided and ignorant or a common scammer setting up a false narrative to achieve his goals.

That statement can also be applied to organized religion. Itā€™s all a scam. But if it helps you lead a better life it yours to live as you see fit.

Well, my church gives a ton back be it charity or time to help others. My wife and I started a cancer support group ministry at our church that has helped many along the way in regard to advice or just a shoulder to cry on. Weā€™ve dedicated many hours doing so. We could never have done that without the church helping by granting a meeting space, having clergy trained in grief council to help out and also advertising where and when the meetings take place. We have been able to help so many. Iā€™m sure there are some that call themselves a church that scam people, hell they probably arenā€™t all that hard to find and that is a shame but not all do.

ā€¦anyway, it really is too bad this guy comes across as ā€œthat God fearing typeā€ only to pull what he is pulling. Pisses me off, actually.

Look what Comic Mint puts in their emails after buying all the back stock of Ravencroft Carnage from diamond.

Oh wow, shops like that need to go out of business. I know we ALL need extra money, but come one.

I might still have a vial or Stan Leeā€™s blood I can add a drop to the cover for an additional $499.95

Hey, you swore to Stan that it was for emergencies only.

Iā€™m not up on current Spawn. Whatā€™s the heat on the 308 A cover? Just awesome art? Popular character? It is sold out most places.

I know the 306 gunslinger book heated up as it was a late add cover C/D And a very popular character.

308 being the A cover will have more out there just from shops who normally bring in X copies of the A cover each month.

@Comp82
I tend to follow Spawn pretty religiously.
In my opinion, this McFarlane cover was overshadowed by the fact that Ken Lashey has a cover that was hyped along with the Mattina from the early on. Todd didnā€™t release his art till very late & I think many just said ā€œmehā€¦Weā€™ll go with the othersā€.
While not every McFarlane cover is fireā€¦imoā€¦this one is. Itā€™s striking. Reminds me of Spawn #249 & thatā€™s a big money book.
I saw a couple vague tweets & posts from Todd also that implied ā€œnew characterā€? Jury out on that.
I always, always emphasize the fact that Spawn has a very fanatical following. That also tends to help.
Just my opinion.

Good to know. Was curious as I see several places sold out of the A but having the B/C in stock. Spawn has so many hardcore collectors itā€™s crazy how quickly some books pop. Found one site that still had the A and ordered 2. Thanks.

$27.95?!? Forget that, just give the book away for free and include a ā€œmystery sketchā€ by an up and coming artist!.. Donā€™t tell anyone it will be about 20 years before your daughter is famous for her artā€¦ All that for free, plus $30 shipping and handling of course.

Just to updateā€¦very surprisingly, both sellers came through with sending the Ruins of Ravencroft #1 2nd print that were listed before the pump and dump at only $4.99.

I really didnā€™t think they would come through.
