Robin King 1st App?

Yup… but took 3 years. I don’t have it in me this round to buy a handful and have to wait 3-5 years to make $20 to $30… :wink:

Go to sanctorum they have OD prices on all the hot books that we spec on.

Peach is back up on Frankies - the Trade dress. I just added another.

Just so people know, TT12 2nd came out with little fanfare. No one really cared…my LCS’s didn’t order any…and when I drove around and found ones that did copies were sitting on shelves. It made me hesitant to load up…I bought 3 or 4, but only the best copies they had, leaving many behind.

It took the first print to surpass $500 in 9.8 for the second print to move past $15. Now reprints are fooling no one.

Agree to wait for the 3rd. I actually like he 3rd prints of Batman 89 (limited trade) and HA3 (purple background/joker cover) much better than the 2nd prints.

DC should stop making everything that’s a second print red background…getting old.

They also were severely delayed too… Wasn’t there like a 4 month gap from first printing and second printing?

Yes. TBWL didn’t really take off until the Mattina cover to Metal 3 came out…and even then it was a slow climb.

1st = September 13th
2nd = February 22nd

I agree…that’s why you need to order 50!!!
I kid. I don’t think first Robin King will come near the popularity or value of the Batman who laughs.Well, maybe the 1:25. I do think DM Legends #1 will cool a bit as well. I didn’t’ miss out. I have my small stack like everyone else on here but as Anthony stated there will be a flood soon and the prices will drop for a while…but down the line they will be good books to sell if people weren’t able to unload early.

Still waiting for them to ship my Strange Academy 2nd prints…and they are only about 75 minutes drive from me. Going to have to send a nasty gram…

I got my copies for. Midtown orders already!

A copy I bought from someone on ebay must have run into that delay. Did the whole “created a shipping label” nonsense. They were nice enough & said they 100% would get it to me, but it’s why I never would sell w/o an item in hand.

Yeah, but this is comic mint. They have a Diamond account and a brick ‘n’ mortar… They should have the book days before it went on sale.

Sent them an email asking “What up, brah?!”

I have known Steven for a long time. He has an office but I do not believe he has a brick and mortar store

Really? Maybe I’m thinking bulletproof comics. Thought I recalled seeing pics of customers in their shop and shipping boxes upon Boxes of variants…but now I’m thinking that was bullet proof which is in the Bronx.

From Key…I assume they meant to say Death Metal #2 not #1

That seems to imply it’s all one character. If that’s the case Legends is probably 1st full.

If we Nerds can’t even agree on what a cameo
Versus full appearance is, we certainly aren’t going to accept DC’s interpretation…

Sorry, not over.

It’s pretty obvious DM2, Legends and DM3 are all the same Robin that becomes Robin King.

But the winner will be Legends, despite DC saying the reading order is DM2 -> DM3 -> Legends… it came out before DM3. They can describe them how they want, cameo, brief, teaser, first full, origin… the nerds got more Robin King out of Legends and that’s the way the market will likely and has already swung towards…

Now, does that make DM2 and DM3 irrelevant? Absolutely not, cause all this Robin King hype is overshadowing BWL who seems to becoming the Darkest Knight, which honestly, I like better anyways as a more interesting story and concept overall…

Buy low, sell high… and don’t pay over cover price if you’re spec’ing for the quick flip… unless you know you can still make money.

I think “Darkest Knight” is easier to say than “The Batman Who Laughs” too…and I never know whether his name should include “The” or drop the “The”…

Has always bothered me.

Good riddance TBWLs…or BWLs…whatever you go by…

Someone needs to start some type of official panel that governs the rules on comic appearances… I nominate @D-Rog :slight_smile:

Death Metal Gets New One Shots

https://bleedingcool.com/comics/death-metal-gets-new-one-shots-including-the-last-stories-of-the-dcu/

You know how sometimes, when things get really overwhelming, you just throw your hands in the air and avoid doing anything?

That’s me in regards to all of those one shots. Too much in my opinion. I’ll pass on every single one unless I get a specific heads up about one in particular.

Yup, when it comes to event books, I just stick with the main issues unless of course something interesting happens in one of the other tie-ins or one shots.
