Same here, not buying anything from Comicmint. Their scalping of the Gleason was disgraceful. Hope they like losing the rep with customers forever for that quick buck.

You should never buy another Gleason cover not boycott comic mint. He did the same thing like 5 times in a row.
I would have done what comic mint did if I had the money and wanted to take the risk.

Yea Gleason could fix this by having limits in the first hour or even just the first 15 minutes. Plenty of people tweet him every sale that his fans couldnāt get any because retailers like Comic Mint bought them all and are selling them for double or triple the price. He doesnāt care.

Gleason definitely deserves part of the blame.
He is one guy, though, I assume ā¦ running his own website.
Getting upgrades so that robo sales and all the other shenanigans that occur with web sales would/might be costly for him.
I still blame Comic Mint for taking advantage. They know full well what theyāre doing and know that itās a small time guy and for thatā¦ I am done with them. My choice and I sure hope others follow.

Whatās even greasier is that the Comic Mint used bots to buy up as much as they could. On their website shortly after they put the books up for resale, they said that anyone using bots would have their order canceled and that they would be banned. Wtf. Kind of blows my mind for greasy behavior.

There was no limit so they didnāt need to use bots, just do one massive order.

I canāt prove that, but given the speed of the inventory moved and the sheer amount they have, bots is simply a deduction. A great amount of people signed on to pick up one copy and couldnāt manage thatā¦but the Comic Mint has X amount in the same amount of timeā¦overā¦and over and over again?

Yeah but there was no limit so didnāt they just buy 500 copies or whatever they wanted. They didnāt have to do multiple orders.
I would consider bots cheating and then thatās shitty so I would boycott them but I doubt they had to use bots. They just did the same thing any normal person could do.
So, their timing is just absolutely perfect in each instance to get multiples at one time? OK.

Agreed, Gleason could have set limits, but I wonāt ever patronize ComicMint for scalping like that. The only reason why limits are necessary is that people like them abuse it then jack up prices.

Put the blame on Gleason and his weak ass covers. Itās funny how the places like Comic Mint always get their copies but the hundreds of people going to buy just one for themselves get beat by just one person? I find that doubtful and wouldnāt be surprised they had negotiated the sale of the books before they actually went up.

Definitely sounds fishy. A bot user would put that message up. Whatever the case, the whole incident was pretty lame. And I didnāt even want to order or try for any of the Gleason covers, just heard all this after the fact.

I do not think it was bots, but most likely an agreement in place with retailers before the books went live.

What is vampirella about? Since Iāve started collecting/flipping Iāve seen at least 1 vampirella book pop up on my feed each day
A vampireā¦ and shes half nakedā¦ oh and females love to cosplay as her. Never been to a con(inside anyway hung out at Javitz) saw about 30 Vampirellas and in NY every Halloween I see her so she has some fans for sure.
