Can you explain this line of thinking? If this is his own ending that he’s writing, how is it butchering it? Is it butchered cause you would have written it differently yourself or is it butchered for other reasons?
I guess I don’t go into some stories with so much expectations myself. It’s like driving around town with a bunch of back seat drivers, telling me how to drive. If you wanna drive, then drive… or me telling Stephen King he butchered his Shawshank Redemption ending cause I would have had Andy kill the Warden instead… 
And yes, the last thing on comic creators minds is if they’re ruining “spec” on their books… quite honestly, some might care but I’m sure the majority of them don’t care two shits about spec on books.

He’s killing Knull and stripping Dylan of his powers. He made Black Winter a Snow Flake. Crossover…we’ll need I say more.
How’s that butchering the ending if that’s what he had planned all along though for the characters? Black Winter isn’t dead though… we still aren’t sure exactly what Black Winter is either… I think that’s what makes me like him more. He’s like this metaphysical being that can twist your thoughts and mind while forming whatever shape he wants…
Knull isn’t dead… nobody stays dead in comics. Dylan was weak anyways… Crossover hasn’t even ended yet…

I kinda like surprise endings. Usually those are the best kinds.
And if it was that easy to strip Dylan of his power, he can certainly get it back. This is all make belief, anything is possible. It’s all fiction!
He’s definitely dead. He may not stay dead, but he dies in the book. It’s butchering the ending because it’s an awful ending. All power to you if you think it’s a great ending, no skin off my back.
Nothing matters because everything is nothing and nothing is everything in comics! We get it. But a death is a death. Anyone can write anything. Doesn’t change what happens in KIB 5. And it certainly will be some time before we see Knull again any time soon.
Cross over might as well be over. It’s that abysmal.

I never said it was a great ending. I sort of expected that type of ending though. What did you expect to happen? Knull wins and everyone else dies? What would you have done to make it, Better? I’m just trying to find out why you consider it a butchered ending?

I certainly expected Knull to not get smoked so easily and I certainly didn’t expect Cates to make Dylan a fart in the wind. But my expectations aren’t relevant. The fans will speak to how they feel about the ending. If you follow YT comics channels, you’ll already have seen what people think of the ending based on the leaks. People aren’t happy.

Well, most people aren’t happy in general. Seems like people like to moan and complain more than anything nowadays. It’s just the American way it seems when they don’t get their way…
So you didn’t expect Knull to get smoked so easily? Okay, fair enough but one could argue that Venom (Eddie) got a new power source as well that helped him… and Dylan was always the afterthought anyways, at least from what I’ve read. He was just the distraction throughout the entire story…

If people aren’t happy, that’s a good thing. Another Marvel writer can come along and use Knull and/or Dylan and create something else. They are now part of the Marvel-Venom-Symbiote mythology and that’s not going to go away…

But I don’t normally care what others think, I don’t base my own reactions and thoughts on such things. I either like something or don’t or every so often think it’s just okay or mediocre. I don’t read other comic channels or opinions, that’s all they are and most don’t put up valid reasons for their opinions. Seems most put emotion into it rather than logic. That’s why I accept your logic that you don’t like Knull getting his ass handed to him so easily… that’s fair.

I don’t know why people think knull would never show up in mcu anytime soon, with Gorr being in the next Thor movie it’s literally just a matter of time before knull comes. Gorr wields the all-black, literally Knulls sword. Don’t be this naive if you think that an after credits shot of the all-black won’t be in the movie ala Thanos in GotG1.

Problem is it won’t be any time soon because this event has been going on for forever it feels like and Knull has been hot for a long time now. He won’t come back any time soon after his death. A few years from now hopefully exactly that happens.
I’ll bet the farm Knull isn’t even being considered for the MCU. I wouldn’t be surprised if Feige doesn’t even know about him.

Gorrs main weapon is the all-black, one of Knulls first symbiote creations. They have to include it, and with it, comes knull eventually.
