It means it’s only one package and not multiples.

Yeah, but I keep looking to make sure it does not turn into more pieces. LOL.

Had a package from Westfield (in Wisconsin) come to my area that should’ve been delivered the next day. It took a detour to two cities in Pennsylvania then finally arrived yesterday. No damage as they pack well.

Uhhhhh this is going from Carmel to Tennessee which I can drive to in like 4.5 hours going South. PA is like a 9 hour drive going East! Makes no sense lol

We’ll time to dig this thread back up. Here is the intended destination

And got notification the book was going to take longer to get there than expected? So where is my package?

That’s really really bad. Same state but let’s send it to Alaska first.

Well I live in Maryland. The book was supposed to fly south. It went to the great white north instead. I checked another book and it happened to two books so. It sure if at one of the sorting centers they put them in the wrong bin or not.

Maybe the USPS worker or automated system accidentally read it as AK instead of AR, so it got sent to Alaska (AK) instead of getting routed through Arkansas (AR) for processing…

Yeah I misread that.

Not a tracking story, but didn’t know where else to put it.

Had to laugh, because you know they have smaller flat mailers…

This mailer is like 16x12.

I don’t mind bigger mailers for smaller items, less likely they get lost between the seats of the USPS or delivery driver…

Just when you thought it was safe to ship in Gemini containers….

This is why I reinforce comics with thick cardboard…even inside mailers. Not that it would have prevented this.

Did someone sit on it??

I know that experience all too well. R.I,P.

My sincere condolences.

Looks like a midtown mailer

There are times I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the USPS storage facility and/or delivery truck.
I mean F… how the F does that even happen to a square box

Yes. Midtown. Not their fault someone sat on it…but wondering how they’ll handle this…

I drastically cut down on what I order from MidTown because their mailers and boxes would arrive with all sorts of damage that sometimes made it to the books inside. Never usually destroyed the books but I suspect many would not be top grade. In fairness, I’m as far as you can get from MidTown (in southern california) but the packaging just wasn’t doing the job. I got tired of cringing every time I opened a box and looked through half a box with dented corners and mangled bags.

I’ve since moved most of what I order to DCBS and their boxes are basically indestructible. I should take pictures the next time a box comes in. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a book (in the last 6ish months since I started) that had any shipping damage from them. They pack the comics inside a fold-up frame that protects all the corners and edges so the outside box is about an inch away from the actual stack of books. It’s impressive and I wish I could convince others to do the same.

I concur. DCBS packaging and delivery service was great when I was using them. (Back when I was actually ordering a substantial amount of comics)

The biggest problem I had with them, and it’s a big one, is they constantly cancelled the ratio variants and/or special order items. One day they cancelled something I really wanted and blew a gasket and left them entirely.

I haven’t checked DCBS in so long, are they still around?

I had a USPS guy literally bend a gemini in half just to shove into my mailbox, which I almost cut my hand getting out it was in there so tight.
