I’ve heard of horror stories of this comic shop.I know they have good deals on hot comic books,but the negative reviews is worrisome.
If there’s something there you really want for your personal collection, I mean… it’s up to you whether to try it out or not. Based on what I’ve read here, I would not count on it shipping quickly. Or possibly not showing up at all.
I definitely would NOT order anything with the expectation to resell it until it’s 100% in your hands.

I used order a lot from them. But after a few missteps from them I have stopped. Bad communion or lack of communion more likely. The last few orders they came damaged and the whole process of trying to contact them is horrible. You have to jump through hoops to just get a refund. Plus about a 2 month delay on getting your comics didn’t help either. I had made about 20 orders and spent thousands of dollars. So when you get ignored and they are customer unfriendly then I will spend my money else where.

I used to order more regularly from them. Then they got too much into conventions and some books wouldn’t ship out for 2-3 weeks after release…but I always got what I ordered. Very few damages.
Others more recently have had bigger issues with the,. Shipping is still a problem it seems. Check out the online shop report card thread and they’ll show up quite a bit with negative experiences.
I’ve found NYCollectorCave and TFAW to be my go to’s now. On rare occasions Midtown and MyComicShop if there’s a hot book sold out anywhere else.

I’m probably the most pro unknowncomics person on this forum. I recently became a Tfaw shopper for preorders as well. My experience with Unknowncomics has been vastly different from others on here. I’ll add my 2 cents. Shipping? Slow as hell that’s a guarantee damn near. Quality of books has been great(check the online report card thread photos on top of photos) customer service response time actually reaching someone? TERRIBLE. Prices are fantastic and you earn points for money off books you buy so makes your next order cheaper and so on. Books are packed fantastic and arrive in good condition oh and shipping is FREE over $100.
On to Tfaw shipping is quick(outside of pandemic mail issues) books are in great condition packaging has improved vastly over the past 2 months. Customer service is A1 from these guys. You have an issue contacting them is easy and they respond quickly. Pricing is my only gripe as of late. I realized I’m paying basically cover price or more for books then when I use TFAW. All unknowncomics books are %30 off so $3.99 becomes $2.79. But on Tfaw unless you order 2 weeks before FOC they can be $3.19 each & u have to pay for bags & boards $.25 (unknowncomics is free bags n boards) making the books about $3.64 so ur at about %10 off realistically THEN of your order is over $100 add another $15-30 for shipping depending on size.
Now if your tryna flip/resell books quickly Tfaw is the way to go and if you want ratios 1:10, 1:25 etc for a good price and such… if your tryna flip later or have books for the PC unknowncomics by far for the price the savings alone are worth it. Example of 2 orders from each

Unknown is suppose to charge taxes as well, if TFAW is collecting taxes for your online sales in the state you live in, Unknown should be as well (unless they’re not meeting a certain threshold in the law or something). If they’re suppose to be collecting taxes though, they better start or it might come back to bite them one day. 
I ordered some comics from them months ago, when they showed up one comic was crunched bad on the corner. Board was perfect so it looks like they placed the damage comic in the bag. I emailed them about the issue and they never replied back. I’m done with them now.

And @pavel7601 I’ve heard it all but have yet to experience bad/damaged books so far. I know it’s a possibility but so far only problem was 3 missed books in my order of 45+ books. After contacting them multiple times they corrected the mistake so that was frustrating. I will so though the mistake came after 15-20 orders of no missed books nothing flawed unless marvel print errors etc and they even gave me extra books I didnt order a couple times as well. So for ME so far it’s been a smooth ride with 1 bump.

Same exact situation happened to me with a recent Thor variant. Top spine was smashed, bag/board were NOT damaged, and overall packing was unharmed. Sent 3 emails and received zero replies. Their customer service wasn’t just terrible, it was literally non-existent. I will never order from Unknown again because of this experience.

I did manage to get a hold of their customer service, then was promptly lied too by their customer service/owner. The problems start at the top with that horrible store.
Well… We all know how most get to the top right? Because shit floats…
Its to bad for them. A simple $4-5 could have fixed the situation and made me happy, now I will never order from them again. I spent about $1000 with them this year.

Only ordered from there once. Time shipping to the UK was OK and books were in good nick. Customer service could have been a bit warmer
No you shouldn’t order from them. They take forever to ship and if they come in damaged they won’t help you.

it’s like most people have terrible experiences with them (unknowncomics) . Mine has not been perfect when there was a mix up of missing books I had to spam their socials to get the info that emailing them doesnt work you have to FB msg them. BUT beyond that quality has been great… so far. They are slow because of how they ship with making labels and letting them sit for weeks before sending out. Received a shipment thir morning. Packed nicely books are in great condition and besides the wait I have no issues.
Corners and spines just fine. No dings bends or ticks.
I have no clue why everyone gets these banged up books etc. (Same from midtown. TFAW with the mailers etc) hopefully my luck continues with my orders being good from most retailers my only concern has been pricing lately.
