Star Wars Comic Spec MEGATHREAD

Generic Background Alien Character: “Hey, barkeep, what’s the scuttlebutt?!”

Barkeep: “I dunno, but a skeptical smuggler, his copilot, an old sage, and a young wanderer without parents just came in, so obviously a major plot point is going down tonight! Keep your head below the blaster fire!”

I have a foggy memory of that as well.

Typical Saturday night at the Star Wars bar.

That’s totally going to be a Walmart Variant. And it’ll look so much better without the UPC covering up some of the characters.

Hi everyone,

The new Tales of the Jedi trailer has caused some buzz online, and rightfully so for sooo many reasons!

I’ve written a post about the mysterious Sith-looking villain featured in the trailer, and their connection to the comics.

Hope you like it! :bowing_woman:

Hi :hugs:

Seeing as a few people have asked about it, we’ve put together a post diving deeper into the main characters, the supporting characters who will show up, as well as all their first appearances.
Fun fact: It actually happened before this issue #1! :woman_genie:

Ya interesting take. Make an sense from the story. Does the timing align?

I’m pretty certain its going to be a new character. I found the part of the celebration where the cover is mentioned and Cavan says we’ll have to wait to find out in kind of a sky sounding voice. He also mentions in that same panel that Matty and Olivia Zeveron (Knight) are interested in something call the Convocation of the Force.

The bad guys in this story could be the Order of the Open Hand (real pimp vibes with that name lol) who don’t believe anyone should use the force. Would make sense for Jedha to have a force related conflict.

But I personally don’t believe its any character we know at the moment.

Put together a checklist for the Greg Land New Hope 45th Anniversary Variants. While making it I noticed only 3 were announced. Honestly not sure if we are getting more. If not… it’ll be a short checklist.

When they did the New Hope and Empire Strikes Back 40th anniversary covers it was 30 or more covers each. I’m going to wait for the Return of the Jedi 40th anniversary covers.

And I thought Kirkman was bad about milking the cash cow… Are we gonna celebrate every 5 years with a bazillion covers of existing titles? Geez Marvel…

lol yeah 45 year anniversary is dumb.

Hi there,

Speaking about anniversaries… :bride_with_veil:

If you’re a fan of Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Marvel announced a few new variant covers by Caspar Wijngaard, celebrating it’s 20th anniversary.

Can’t wait for the 46th anniversary spectacular!!

Previews for Darth Vader #27. This little storyline with Kitster and Wald and the Darth Nihilus machine seems to be dragging on and on. Cool variants though.
