aphra is only half asian, and since star wars is in a galaxy far far away they dont have an asian continent to steal culture from as far as they know
There’s no such thing as Asian in Star Wars… they’re just all aliens to us earthlings!
Just pick the right actor or actress, race isn’t important, the acting is.
Star Wars also takes place in the past. Even though it looks futuristic!
She turned down that role.

She was also the guest star on SNL the night they did they did that demonic ritual “skit” on live TV.
The movie is said to be a standalone project that isn’t connected with the Skywalker Saga,
Since Aphra is totally intertwined within the Skywalker Saga, it doesn’t sound like that’s what this movie is about.

Well, if we didn’t have so many extinction level events that reset life here on earth, we might be super advanced too… or the dinosaurs might be instead…
You see the primitive life still in Star Wars, not all advanced as quickly as those now spreading around the technology and information now.
