I really don’t understand why the little alien shorted out Sol’s ship to save Mae.
Agreed. So many character moments had no foundation to them. Just shoving along the plot as the writers deemed necessary.
Sol couldn’t stop a force choke from someone who has way less training and skill in the Force? Wow, Darth Osha is even faster at mastering the force than Mary Sue Rey. Oh, I got ya Disney, she was really mad. Good grief.
She was trained as a Jedi and by her mother before that. Much more training than Rey ever received in the sequel mess.
Not saying you have to like it, but don’t let your hatred for the show blind yourself to the facts that were laid out.
I don’t think he wanted to stop her at that point. He had been consumed by guilt and knew he had lost….totally screwed up. He wanted to die if it gave Osha closure.
But ultimately we can blame the Brendok 4 for the fall of the Jedi and the rise of the sith. Or at least the way it unfolded. If they had just left well enough alone…
Or Qmirir and Plagueis would have just abducted the girls, killed the cult and taken out the Jedi a lot faster than they did…who know? Sol F’d up.
BTW, Qamar is “Moon” in Arabic…which obviously is what his character name was based off of.
I do think Qimir I will be eventually connected to the Knight of Ren. And I’m not sure if he’s aware of Plageuis, but his extended life likely is tied to dark magik and the planet he resides
I’d like a Season 2. It was clunky at times but I think it ended well enough and has a good foundation for continuing the story and remain entertaining. I don’t want a comic book, novel or movie to tell the next chapter.
I agree, they should stop jumping steps to make protagonists seem OPed. That part was silly.
Was it planned to have a season 2 for this show or was it a wait and see how it goes type production? Andor was planned from the start to be more than one season but I know not all of them are.
Not sure if there will be S2.
Lots of haters for this show due to diverse cast and director.
Im sure there will be a season 2.
That’s exactly why there will be. Disney will do it out of spite
Well, fingers crossed I guess.
not with a 180 million budget
Maybe if they pay the cast and crew in Milky Way bars they can get a few episodes done,
I read Headland is begging fans to take to social media to advocate for a second season. Maybe if she wasn’t so concerned with using the show as a social platform during the 1st season, she could have developed a good story
I enjoyed the story. I’m all in for a second season. More Plagueis!!!
Ok so I just finished an absolutely incredible season of House of the Dragon (HOTD). HOTD and the Acolyte were the only 2 shows I’ve watched in all of 2024 and it really opened my eyes quite a bit.
The acting, character development, storytelling, character motivations, world building, of HOTD compared to the Acolyte is like comparing Shakespeare to Mickey Mouse.
Absolutely zero chance the Acolyte is getting a second season.
Someone wake me up when Star Wars has another Andor-like show. Until then, sadly, I’m out. And, I worshipped this franchise. It’s just all nostalgia and so formulaic now. Massive bummer.
Agreed - Andor was great.
The rest had points, but were overall -
