Star Wars The Acolyte Specs

Is it possible Stenberg is playing Ty Yorrick? She walked away as a padawan. The Yallow Fellowship, which was affiliated with the Dark Side, was explored in Monster of Temple Peak.

Could be a coincidence, but would be cool to see them build off of the seeds planted in the comics.

Im curious why Amanda has an arm-wrap on…

So what are the specs?

The series is developed by Leslye Headland, who previously expressed her excitement about the project and her passion for bringing in a variety of components from across all corners of the galaxy far, far away.

“The truth is that I, as a major mega fan, came to them with this idea. And I said, ‘I think the best place to put this is in an era you guys have not quite explored yet,’” Headland revealed to Vanity Fair earlier this year. “They were very enthusiastic. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to explore that [existing] world, but I think that they already were because The Mandalorian and a lot of the other television projects were really relying on legacy characters.”

She continued, “I was coming at it as a fan who was much more into the RPG that the Extended Universe feeds on. I came hard at that in the '90s, and then got introduced to [Star Wars:] The Clone Wars. I knew the timeline really well. And I was like, ‘I think if you want to explore Star Wars from the perspective of the bad guys, the best time to do it is when the bad guys are wildly outnumbered. When they actually are essentially the underdogs, for lack of a better term.’ So this would be that era.”

It’s hard to tell at the moment, but I’m always grabbing cheap copies of Monster of Temple Peak #1 when I come across them. If Ty Yorrick doesn’t show up in this show, I still have copies a SW 1st appearance that I grabbed on the cheap.

No variants for that book is also a huge selling point for me.

Ario Anindito (the artist on the main High Republic title) posted this on his FB page 1 hour ago. So what you are spec-ing?

Sounds like Monster of Temple Peak and Trail of Shadows (especially Trail) could be a good play.

There isn’t much to go on there. He’s just repeating everything we already know. I’m sure he’s excited since he was the artist on the main title that launched it all and likely something special to him.

I think any book in the HR stable that dealt with the remnants of the Sith or dark side artifacts could be in play.

It’s a life lesson in disappointment. Haha.

Life’s been pretty hectic over here in WookyLand. I’ve been on the East coast for work, then went to California after being home for a day. Now all my the opposing parties on all my deals at work are acting like a$$h0)es.

Anyway, Monster of Temple Peak isn’t a bad play simply due to the lack of variants and the low interest at the time it was released. Not so much due to particular indications. WOBH Jabba the Hutt is always a good bet just because it’s so cheap. The fanfare that Deva Lompop was released with obviously has a plan behind it. The first Phase II novel mentions “lompop” flowers, so the foundation is being laid for something involving her. Darth Krall’s gotta come around somehow. (Check out Hidden Empire 1 this week. A very old sith is coming back in comics).

Other than that, I’d look into other Expanded Universe sith. Revan, Exar Kun.
