It’s in the previewsworld FOC listing. Lots of sites haven’t updated all the items. I contacted unknowncomics to let them know they were missing a few items.

When I clicked through it took me to a page that showed a 2017 release date… so confused right now

Odd, Midtown has it listed as released on 2017 as well (with same cover): https://www.midtowncomics.com/product/1666359

Maybe there’s a new printing and they just didn’t update the new release date for yet another TPB that’s on FOC this Monday.

Two currently on eBay, starting at $70 and another at $99.

So thus somewhat off topic, but have you noticed more green lightsabers in the High Republic than blue?

Perhaps @drunkwooky can explain in more detail, but are green more common? I know that The Force chooses the color of the crystal based on their their attunement and personality… I guess there are just Type Greens out there?

Also, I’ve noticed a couple of purple blades out there too. It is my understanding that Mace Windu was highly controversial because of what purple represents. Now it has been retconned to be a bit more common?

My understanding is that in the Legends (Non-Canon) timeline, green, blue, and yellow were used to indicate classes of Jedi or preferred fields of study and mastery:

Around 4000 BBY, lightsaber crystals were used to indicate a Jedi’s chosen class. Blue indicated a Jedi Guardian, a Jedi who used the Force on a more physical level. Green indicated a Jedi Consular, a Jedi who preferred to reflect on the mysteries of the Force and fight the dark side at its heart. Yellow indicated a Jedi Sentinel, a Jedi who honed his or her skills in a balance of combat and scholarly pursuits. -Wookieepedia

In the new canon timeline, there isn’t any significance placed on the color yet except that it’s a matter of personal preference. There are more or less powerful or rare crystals, but it seems to be a matter of personal preference in the current canon. The one color-related matter of significance so far is that sith are said to find the kyber crystals of dead jedi and corrupt them to give them the red hue. Darth Vader is seen doing this in vol. 2 of the Marvel Darth Vader series.

You contacted one of the most used online retailers for a book you’re specing on? Why not just keep it under the radar and buy from one of the other 20+ shops or your lcs.

No local LCS where I’m at. This is my online shop and as I stated other SITES as well didnt have the book. Lastly I didnt say which books. Said they have books missing soon as they update the FOC books. So what am I not keeping under the radar?

A couple thoughts on High Republic Adventures 2 ahead of publishing my review tomorrow on DrunkWooky.com:

While this book is written to be accessible to a wider and younger audience, it has canon story notes that will carry weight for all Star Wars fans. My main take away is that if people aren’t already grabbing this book or somehow looking at it as the “lesser” Star Wars book, they should reassess. Important stuff is happening in this book.

First of all, this purple glowing box was referenced in Light of the Jedi by Soule. We don’t know what’s in it yet, but Marchion Ro revealed it to a Jedi he captured and it seemed to make quite a fear-inducing impression on that Jedi. I think it ties into his generations old grudge against the Jedi.

Second, this set of orphan siblings getting split up and heading respectively to the Starlight Beacon (the girl, Zeen, for Jedi training) and to travel the stars as a marauder with Marchion (the boy, Krix) is way heavier than normal Star Wars IDW all ages stuff. The boy is headed down a pretty dark path.

I think in High Republic Adventures 3 we’ll get our first real comic “tour” of Starlight Beacon where we can see the sights described in Light of the Jedi. I’m just speculating, but it seems like that is the suggestion here:

Solicit seems to confirm:

Zeen accompanies the Jedi to the Starlight Beacon, a glowing symbol of the Jedi and Republic. where she learns what it means to be a Padawan. Meanwhile, Krix and the Nihil fight their way through a Republic blockade to safety, and Krix begins to wonder who this strange man who helped him really is.

In case anyone is interested, MyComicShop still have this weeks High Republics ratio variants up for decent prices. High Republic Adventures #2 1:10 variant up for $16 (grabbed a second copy from them myself) and the have the High Republic #3 1:25 for $20 still. Not bad prices for these if you need one. They also still list the High Republic #2 1:25 but it’s still sitting at $72

thanks for the heads up! i missed them from tfaw and was able to pick up a few!

Good find. It seems like MCS NEVER has ratio incentives in stock unless it’s consignment or auction.

Edit: must have had very few, since everything’s gone except for HR #2 1:25.

So I have found with MyComicShop is that Tuesday night they put out the new releases for the week. But the ratio variants do not get released until Wednesday. I don’t know at about what time, I think yesterday was noonish (ET), but I don’t know if that is consistent.

This is a road map I’ve been updating on where we are right now with High Republic.

I’ve labeled each character with the issue they had their first appearance in, their rank, and whether or not they have died yet in the novels that have come out so far.

All sourced from: https://starwars.fandom.com/

There are still some meaningful appearances to take place, but I wonder if they might dry up for a bit.
