Ok, So I did get Cover B of #14. It made my box but it didn’t make the photo for the LCS WALL

My LCS has stood strong for over 15 years, and today they told me that I’m the only one who buys/orders the Marvel Omnibuses. I guess it’s because I put in an order for Darth Vader Omnibus but didn’t get it till today, and also have an order for ALIENS Vol. 2 that was put in last year but still hasn’t arrived to my LCS.

The Omnibuses take FOREVER to arrive. I know I just started receiving a few of them this past week which were ordered last year at some point. They are super cool to own though…I can’t wait for my kids to be able to crack open one of those ‘bibles’ and go to town

book FOCs have a 6-9 month lead time instead of the comics where it’s measured in weeks. It gets frustrating when you order a lot of omnibuses (like me) to even remember what you have coming, much less whether you ordered the standard or DM cover…

So I got out of The High Republic after issue 7 of the Marvel series and approximately issue 4 or 5 of Adventures. It just didn’t hold my interest. Killer plants with a hive mind? Maybe a lack of familiarity with characters or I’m just too much a sucker for the Rise of the Empire, Fall of the Empire, and New Republic eras in Star Wars…

…that being said I FINALLY got around to reading my copy of Eye of the Storm issue 1 and it was GREAT! I’m looking forward to issue 2, which I didn’t order but I assume there will be many copies available.

I know @drunkwooky said that reading the novels helps to add to the High Republic era and make the comics more interesting… but damn I just can’t find the time to read a novel. I barely finish my 4-8 book weekly pulls before the next week books come out or watch an episode of This is Us with the wife after Grayson (The Boy Wonder) goes to bed.

I’m hoping for something good for this new era of High Republic comics.

I think phase 2 will explore the Ros’ century’s long feud with the Jedi. It should be awesome.

Good to know the work is appreciated out there. I have like literally no time to listen to podcasts and hear these types of things. Doing my damndest to get on a podcast I was invited on this week. Tough with a 7-week-old in the house.
