They won’t do it on all books, but this one is a no brainer to add a few extra copies on since it introduces a lot of new SW characters. The LCS owners I texted with last night and this morning are pissed since the image was posted after FOC and it is a retailer incentive that will not sell well, if it does at all.

On the flip side, the stores only ordered to file plus a couple of shelf copies on Eternals 1 due to low demand for it. One that had an order of 350 copies of High Republic 1 only did 30 of Eternals 1. They had people interested in the 1:50, but since they would not pay enough to cover the cost of the extra copies, the LCS owner did not chase it.

Anyone know who this Twitter account belongs to? Says the 1:25 is not final art. Another Tweet he says there are multiple 1st appearances in DCs books this week but you have to join their patreon for the info lol

(1) Quixotic Comics on Twitter: “Okay, I can confirm. The 1:25 solicitation for High Republic is not the finished cover. #StarWars #StarWarsHighRepublic #HighRepublic” / Twitter

Because yes, some stores buy ratios just to make up for copies they might think sit on the shelves longer. It’s probably a tossup of shop owners also just acting like consumers as well. Like I said, if you order according to what you know you can sell, you still win either if you qualify for the ratio or not.

Sadly, I’ve seen much worse ratio variants cover art
Maybe they’re just being a little more picky since it’s Star Wars and they’ve got high hopes for this new title.

Of course it’s not the final cover. It’s missing the issue number.
Iv’e already mentioned before the 1st appearances in DC books this week.

As for that Twitter account, dont join the Patreon group. They have a Mewe group. They dont get info ahead of everyone else.

Heh
it is funny when groups claim they got the news first when the news is just as simple as one having a Diamond Retailer account
 ummm
you weren’t first, pretty sure there are thousands of others who saw the same news/info

How did I miss this post? Can you point me towards it?

Lol, not paying for spec Patreon’s ever.

Oh yea of course I would never join a patreon or pay for spec info. Thats for dummies. I was just wondering if anyone knew who this twitter account was. I was in some mewe spec groups after they killed Google+ but haven’t checked on them in a while

Correct, that Patreon model especially the one that guy Matt Page runs on Facebook, are all bull shit. They are not getting early access and no matter how many times they claim things that they re first on, like the Cross Over TFAW variant, they never are first (FYI we have someone who is a regular here that let us know about the Crossover and SIKTC variants in advance) but they had no sooner access to it than we did because everyone had to wait for it to be listed.

What’s really funny about that Twitter account is him saying spec sites link to ebay and make money off you and then later on says join my patreon and pay for my spec lolol

Lets be honest. All these sites have retailers giving out tibets here and there. Its just that with the Matt Page one he has retAilers pumping and dumping books they couldnt sell in their store. Wasnt it even rumored that Matt Page was getting a diamond account on his own? While haveing an account is awesome, there is way to much temptation to look up books in stock and pump them like a cheap NY hooker.

Its funny because he is right, but trying to use it as a means to put other sites down and make him look good. We do not charge any money. Period. But we do get advertising money and use affiliate links, however, you do not have to click any of the links, ever. It is not required. If you do, we get a small percentage that helps keep this massive site going (both the forums and the main site.) Thats not evil, no money means we do not do the site. It is not worth it. Why am I going to pay tons of money out of pocket to keep the site running in order to keep telling people what I suggest they should look at? But tryin to say that “hey, these guys are evil because they include ebay links makes them jerks.” Lol and when you look at the fact we run a elf hosted site and forum and not a facebook or mewe group, which costs them nothing, they are pocketing all the money. Let me go back and say this, yes my cars name has three letters, but its K-I-A and not BMW.

That is the true definition of a “Speculator Diamond Account”. If i cared enough i would look over diamonds terms to see if having a paying spec patreon site is allowed.

Ok found out who it is
One of the biggest scammers who ever appeared in G+ Jamal Khan. He used to run a G+ group that had many names and speaking of having many names, all the moderators had some variation of his same avatar, and were just him using different names. This was well talked about years ago. I figured after he was called out for his stuff he went away

What is G+?

Google+

Gogle plus was the “goto” place for speculation in the early days of internet. You could pull out ur smart phone, search topics and find the “hot book” of the week.
