Let’s not encourage people to cheat on their taxes please… That’s just bad advice in every shape and form!
Even if it’s not reported by a 3rd party, it’s on you to pay your taxes on actual taxable income!

There’s plenty of jobs like that…I wouldn’t say they are better work-life v balance or even rewarding jobs.
Listing/packaging/shipping comics can be fun and even therapeutic if done right…seems @anthony has found that balance.

I keep a nice spreadsheet of all my purchases and sales. Shows with all the comics I buy I am actually spending more than I make in the end.
I sell my own comics
Son #1 sells his comics
Son #2 sell his comics
They have them at their places. I gave them to them as a gift.
I actually am up for a promotion. From a middle management supervisor job to an upper middle management district manager job. Love working for the state. I have fantastic benefits, tons of leave, and can retire in 13 years. My salary isn’t bad but the perks more than make up for it. I actually work my ass off, printing a label and packing a comic is really therapeutic. My wife make fantastic money but is busy day and night, travels all the time, misses time with our kids. She is a VP for her company. I put my time where I want it to be l. My wife on numerous occasions has told me to quit work and sell comics full time. I want my retirement first.
I actually used to flip DVDs and Blu-ray’s as well. It was fun.
You’ll be assistant to the regional manager before you know it!
Cue up the office theme
For me it was the same, almost soothing to go pack up a pile of books I sold. Mindless work almost…
For multiple people who constantly state to keep posts on topic, you sure do take threads off topic for a long time.
I fully expect Strange Academy to be fire for quite awhile now. I hope the casting is on point and the writing is excellent but we’ll have a looong wait to see what’s being done with it.
I have a lot of the #1’s but my absolute favorite is the wraparound cover.
1st app of Doyle Dormammu makes SA1 a great longterm hold. since he will be cgi they can hire voice actor and use him for decades
For anyone interested… I just listed a #1 set for sale with issue #2 as well…
I work for a state authority; I just started my 30th year. I plan on retiring next year. I have the most seniority of the 300 people that I work with and the easiest schedule. But it is time to move on. I will make more money being retired with my pension, than working. I have been selling toys, antiques, comics for over 25 years. And the past 3 years making the historical resin miniatures. I enjoy the collecting and selling. Starting next year my collections will keep my busy enough so I do get bored. But I will have time to do other things too.
I have a few graded #1 SA comics and the series too. I hope the show is good and there is a lot of interest in these books.
That sounds pretty sweet!
Thanks, I hope to work with a few museums and battlefields to set up some dioramas eventually too. We will be in Gettysburg next Sunday for a toy soldier show.
bunch of tweets in last hour that strange academy is back in development, and marvel is in talks with Jordan Peele
That’s good news. Honestly I would rather have a new comic series than the show.
I wish they picked up where they left off.
