I telework during the day three days a week. I am already being paid for my daytime hours. My office is in my comic room and all my sale boxes and shipping supplies are around me. My printer is next to me. Takes me less than five minutes and gives me a break from my day job. Takes no time at all for me to package up. I don’t mind at all. To each their own.

Another option is take the time to find a job that pays more for your time.

I enjoy selling on the side. My job pays well. Don’t think we need to be rude about things.

Sorry, wasn’t my intention to be rude. Hard to express tone in text. Back in the late 90s/ early 2000 was selling tons of dvd and later blu rays during the advent of the internet and there were alot of promotions so buying super cheap and flipping on ebay to supplement my income. Spend tons of time buying, packaging and selling. When i told people i doing it for an extra money they would mention instead of using my time for a side hustle, concentrate on building my work related resume eg promotions, change jobs etc. For me my day job pays better and allow me to buy silver/bronze age books much faster rather hustling couple dollars at a time. End of day to each his or her own.

Let’s not encourage people to cheat on their taxes please… That’s just bad advice in every shape and form!

Even if it’s not reported by a 3rd party, it’s on you to pay your taxes on actual taxable income!

There’s plenty of jobs like that…I wouldn’t say they are better work-life v balance or even rewarding jobs.

Listing/packaging/shipping comics can be fun and even therapeutic if done right…seems @anthony has found that balance.

I keep a nice spreadsheet of all my purchases and sales. Shows with all the comics I buy I am actually spending more than I make in the end.

I sell my own comics
Son #1 sells his comics
Son #2 sell his comics

They have them at their places. I gave them to them as a gift.

I actually am up for a promotion. From a middle management supervisor job to an upper middle management district manager job. Love working for the state. I have fantastic benefits, tons of leave, and can retire in 13 years. My salary isn’t bad but the perks more than make up for it. I actually work my ass off, printing a label and packing a comic is really therapeutic. My wife make fantastic money but is busy day and night, travels all the time, misses time with our kids. She is a VP for her company. I put my time where I want it to be l. My wife on numerous occasions has told me to quit work and sell comics full time. I want my retirement first.

I actually used to flip DVDs and Blu-ray’s as well. It was fun.

You’ll be assistant to the regional manager before you know it!

Cue up the office theme

For me it was the same, almost soothing to go pack up a pile of books I sold. Mindless work almost…

For multiple people who constantly state to keep posts on topic, you sure do take threads off topic for a long time.

I fully expect Strange Academy to be fire for quite awhile now. I hope the casting is on point and the writing is excellent but we’ll have a looong wait to see what’s being done with it.

I have a lot of the #1’s but my absolute favorite is the wraparound cover.
