Have found some good buys during 60% off sales and you qualify for free shipping.
Yeah, when they do have the 60% off sales there can be the occasional deal but they don’t have them as often as they used to. They haven’t had a 70% sale in years and years. That’s when the real deals were to be had. For the most part the 60% off sale brings things closer to fair market value. For me anyway.
I’m pretty sure my LCS owner helped Mike High offload some exclusive variant backstock.
Recently his back issues have been littered with their exclusives for $10-15. I think he made a bulk deal with Chuck.
Hey all, anyone have any idea why tfaw seems to be charging random amounts more than each book is supposed to be? Figured I’d ask here first in case anyone else asked already.
Not sure, I see “Raw Total” off to the side now of my “orders” but the summary below seems to add up accurately.
If I add up the Raw Total, it’s like $5.29 more but the only line that closely matches that in the summary is the Tax line but that’s currently $5.94 in my current order.
Just go by the summary to make sure.
Maybe it’s the remaining taxes on bags and boards, shipping/handling? I got a 65 cents difference from Raw total minus my Actual total in the summary (which also aligns with the cost of the books).
That can’t be right either…
I’m in Texas so my sales tax should be 6.25%.
My order total is $74.57 + 2.50 (bags+boards) and then $9.77 (shipping/handling). If they charge taxes on that at 6.25%, my tax should be $5.43 but my current tax on my summary is $5.94…
Only thing else I’m not considering is if they’re adding any additional sales tax cause it can be up to 8.25% but at my total, that would push the taxes up to $7.16.
Hmmm, seems like I’m not the only one thoroughly confused by this …
The only thing that isn’t adding up is the tax for me though. Remove the RAW column and everything checks out except the total on taxes, but it’s roughly 50 cents higher than what I think it should be at.
It seems like the raw total is after tax. For example, a $6.99 book taxed at 6.25% is $7.43.
But it seems like they are not taxing books under a certain amount? Such as $2.79?
But in the end, it seems like shipping is getting taxed as well. What’s up with that?
Who do they think they are? eBay?
But even so…I’m getting taxed at 6.28% if you include the shipping.
Ummm… it says the book is $2.79 but the Raw total is $2.97 in your pic you turd muffin…
But the numbers still don’t add up in my summary, as I pointed out.
Ha. Dislexia.
Anyway. I’m getting taxed at 6.35% actually, which is my states tax rate for the “raw” totals actually.
So that makes sense sort of.
90.33 x 1.0635 + .50 + 7.72 = 104.28
Not sure why they don’t tax the bags and boards. Not sure what $6.19 in tax comes from. Maybe that’s TX tax.
When did TFAW stop bagging and birding their variants. Pat two orders they have been unbagged and boarded.
First picture is the ASM 6 variant loose inside the shipping bag but not bagged and boarded. The Usagi also came unbagged and boarded. Black Adam 2 1:25 oddly enough came bagged and boarded.
weird, my shipment came in today and everything was bagged and boarded, some ration variants like the asm 900 included
My last order 80% destroyed corners, stack of loose books half filled box with packing peanuts.
My last two orders have been spot on, perfect. One of the orders I didn’t do bags and boards and all the books came pristine, better than the crap I’d pull off the shelf myself.
Ouch…That really sucks. Pressing will help but the damage is done. Looks like they can be improved a little though.
