Interestingly you’re the first person I’ve heard say that. Most people say the comic is OK but the show is better. I thought the comic was fine and I have not yet watched the show so I cannot comment myself.

To me the comic was classic Garth Ennis and much better than the the two seasons I’ve watched.
So how’d you like Preacher show?
Preacher the comic was great. The series strayed to far from the source material. The actors and acting were great and it had its moments but it wasn’t good.

It is funny a show took a great Garth Ennis idea, tweaked some of the most cringe stuff, and made it really work well. It is kind of like what Hollywood does with Mark Millar’s ideas, but Ennis is obviously much more talented than Millar, I’m just making a comparison.

Surprised we don’t have as much discussion on this show. I know this fourth season hasn’t gotten some mixed reviews but I still love the show.
Last night’s episode was really, really good. As someone who only followed the first few issues of the comic, I don’t have the problem of comparing the show to the comic.
I just love how unapologetic the show is. What is really crazy is that my wife loves it. She never likes comic book/this sort of stuff and she really looks forward to it.

I’m also surprised no one‘s talking about the show. Last night‘s episode was probably one of the best single episodes of the series.
Homelander honestly is a top-notch villain. The actor should win an award for playing the part.
It’s so good and not to talk politics, but I also love the parallel with the current state of affairs in the country. Lines up well.
And she’s not into any of the comic book stuff like I am but my wife also loves the show.

The comics series blows the show out of the water. The show kinda sucks in comparison. I still like the show though.
