The Crimes of MyComicShop

Two of my shops didn’t get their Lunar yet and one didn’t get their Diamond or PRH yet. Hm.

Is there a way to order more than 2 of a particular variant at MyComicShop? For example, Sentry 1A shows only shows 2 NM copies available. Is there a way around this?

No. Limit is 2 copies per grade.

Have a friend purchase and pick up from him/her when you see him/her next.

Is that true for all back issues? limit 2 copies of each grade?

Yes

But you can get around that by having multiple accounts… Just have to pay for shipping and taxes again…

do they give you hassle about ordering multiple copies pre foc?

Ive never pre-ordred from them.

I was going to set up an account with MCS today. Bummer hearing that you can order so few copies of back issues. I haven’t had a problem with some of the online shops I’ve used here in Canada regarding how many copies you can order of back issues. If a book heats up and they don’t have a limit on then you should be able to order it. Sometimes they will have a limit on a hot book the week of release which I think is very fair. For example I believe they will limit 1 copy of Ultimate Black Panther 1 this Wednesday, which I think is perfectly fair.

For new weekly books (non-ratios), since they dont offer different grades anymore, you have to adjust the quantity in the cart.

If I pre-order 1000 copies of Ultimate X-men 1 like you told me to pre-foc, they won’t give me hassle?

As monopoly mentioned, you can order more than 2 copies, but it has to be on separate orders and may incur more shipping fees. It sucks. With their shipping changes in the last few years, it is best to piggyback if you can. Otherwise, you might consider saving books to your cart to buy once you have enough to justify shipping.

MCS gives the false impression that they have limited inventory by only showing two available of each condition, which can lead to impulse buying too :frowning:

So you mean separate orders on your same account is ok? Yeah since I’m from Canada the shipping charges are expensive so I’ll be piggybacking my orders until it reaches 100 books or something like that. I read on mycomicshop’s shipping faq that if you specify weekly shipments you can have them hold the books for you until you hit a quantity that you like to save on shipping. That works for me.

just joking about ordering 1000 copies of Ultimate X-men 1 btw in case there are new lurkers. At MOST I may order 2 copies.

Limiting to two also let’s them adjust prices when books are selling quickly.

Yes, you can piggyback, but I think it is if you have a pull box with subscription orders. They will let you hold subs and one time orders for up to a month so that everything is combined. @SpicyWasabi

Don’t they not guarantee NM? I haven’t ordered from them since they decided if new books came in wrecked they were still posting and shipping them out.

It’s happening to a lot of stores. It’s the toilet paper that marvel uses

Oh no! Sold out!

But wait! They’re selling on EBay! Cheaper (shipping) and limit of 2!
